Porthos....leave that kitty alone!

We took Porthos over to my husbands Aunt's house to get his nails clipped and he was really good for that. But afterwards he starts to explore her house and we warned him to stay away from the cat, that the cat was going to get him. I mean come on he was bigger than the puppy. So my silly puppy does his bark play thing and the cat didn't like being barked at all so he scratched the corner of Porthos' ear, I don't know a little ear could bleed that much. But we got it to stop and he was ok. But I don't think he will be messing with that kitty again when we go back. But hopefully he won't scratch us anymore when he tries to play with us.

Firefly - the TV series

I just recently finished watching Firefly the complete series on dvd (I love you Netflix). And am just dumbfounded as to what they were thinking when they didn't make more than the 15 or so Episodes that they made. The show was awesome, the writing was spectacular and the cast was phenomenal together. But I find myself needing to re-watch Serenity the movie that takes place after the series which to some people if you watch one without the other could be a little confusing. My favorite two characters by far on the show is Inara and Mal, watching them just makes you wish they would just get together. I would suggest everyone check this unfortunately short-lived television series.

Yay! For puppy training!!

Well I hope that I will be saying Yay! anyway. We have had Porthos about a month now and he is now like part of the family. He is even a really good little guy and isn't loud and hasn't tried to tear a whole lot of stuff up yet anyway, well except for some paper and my husbands Nintendo DS's power cord (sorry honey!). Well other than those couple of things the only major problem we have had is his potty training we catch him and take him outside and he kind of just looks at us like "huh" and then wants to come in after a few minutes and not doing anything but sniffing around. And we also tried the training pads and well that didn't go over too well because he decided that it would be fun to tear it up and tear it to pieces, I guess he like the scent of it for something to play with. So in steps PetSmart we are signing him up for a potty training class and going to take him in for training. Please let it work I am tired of cleaning up after his rear end, ok that was my attempt at being funny.

Dreading going to work....

I have to go to work today and I just don't want to. I have this feeling of dread because I just don't enjoy my job anymore. It was fun and I liked to go back when we were making good money, now it feels like we are working more for less money and the place is completely full of drama. And the company does crooked thing that are unfair to employees that have been there awhile. For example they are starting a new training class where some of the people will work a day shift. And that is not fair because 3 people who have been there for a while even two that have almost been there since the campaign started are wanting to go back to days including myself. But they are ignoring us and putting people who haven't been there at all on the day shift which is really ticking some of us off. For me it is a necsssity to go back to day because both of my kids will be in school soon and I need it to make our lives easier. So it isn't anything that I can just choose I need it. Ahhh I am so tired of the place.

Memorial Day

The family and I are sort of doing some tradition Memorial day things such as having bar-b-q chicken with all of the fixings like corn on the cob, baked beans and such. But so far it has been a very lazy day for us with all of us taking a long nap this afternoon and just watching t.v, laying around and playing. We enjoy days like this when all we have to do is lie around and do nothing, well except me because I cook all of the meals. But its still relaxing.

Creepy Doorbell Ring

The kids and I have just been sitting around this evening them mostly playing and me blogging. When all of sudden the doorbell rings. Which is odd because it never rings unless we are expecting someone or my mother in law comes over. So I look out the window and their is no car in driveway so I am like WTH? And I finally say "Who is it?" and of course no one says anything which just freaks me out. So I tell my sons to lock themselves in the bathroom. And I sneak out the back-door to walk around the house to see if anyone is there. Well no one is there but I am just freaked out because that is weird. Maybe it was just some kids playing a joke, which I can live with because I was once a kid too.

The first day of summer vacation

Yesterday was the last day of school and today since it is a weekday is the first official day of vacation. We sat around most of the day and played outside on a new slip-n-slide and I can say about it is atleast the boys enjoyed it. I just kept thinking to myself they don't make them the way they did when I was a kid or I am just too old to get it right which I don't think it is the latter since I am only 27 years old.
So we have been wrapping up the day playing video games where my oldest son actually won Lego Star Wars II by himself. He was thrilled to do it and had to write my husband a note bragging about beating the game since he would be in bed when he got home. There will definately be more to come about the fun summer vacation at our home so stay tuned!!

~Sharon

All of the summer movies!!!

I was looking online at all of the different movies that are coming out this summer. And have discovered quite a few of them that I have got to go see. We have already saw Spiderman 3 so of course we have to go see Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, we have to go see any movie based on a comic book just because that's how we are. Other movies that I can't wait for are Live Free or Die Hard (I just loved the first three) and Rob Zombies remake of Halloween(we are big on scary movies as well here).

Other movies that I want to see but can wait for dvd are the new Pirates of the Caribbean and the new Harry Potter I liked the others but I will just be able to wait till I can just sit at home and watch it. So what movies do you want to see?

My Kindergarten Graduate!

Wednesday was Wes's Kindy graduation ceremony. All of the kids looked so sweet and precious in their caps and t-shirts. We were so proud of him that he made it through his first year without any problems and was successful at everything he did.
Here is him and Hal after the ceremony being the cutest brothers ever.

Credit Card Applications

My full time job right now is in a call center and I work for one of the major banks taking credit card applications for them. I really enjoy my job even though at times it can be stressful it is normally just as much amusing. For example the people that call in complaining because they got a credit card application in the mail. I just sit and think come one would you have rather gotten that so called "junk mail" or would you rather have gotten your bills? I would rather get the junk mail. Because I hate to pay bills. It is just funny that they get worked up about something so unimportant in the overall scheme of life.

It is also equally amusing that everyone who calls to apply for a credit card always has "perfect credit." We have come to the conclusion that the person who always boasts about their perfect credit will always get denied for a credit card. But it is very much a relief when someone who calls doesn't think they will get approved and they normally do. I really like my job taking credit card apps and helping the citizens of this country sink more and more into debt. Just kidding I don't wish debt on anyone it is just that the credit card debt of other people helps pay my paycheck. :P

Life is good...

I am sitting here thinking about how happy I feel and how life seems to be looking up for myself and my family. We are getting along great, the boys are wonderful. We have made it through my oldest sons first year of school. Things are looking good, I hopefully will be starting college in January and going through full-time until I am done atleat that is Jason's and my plan. Now just to figure out what I want to do with school. That is my real question now. I was going to be a teacher but I just don't know if that is for me. Maybe I should go for my RN I think I could do it. And I like the idea of a profession where I can help people. We will see.

Wish us luck,
~Sharon

I Love Reading Books!

All of my life reading books has always been important to me. It is a big part of me and it allows me to use my imagination especially when I was younger and make believe was my thing. Even today I read to pass the time when the kids are asleep or busy playing. My husband even buys me books based on movies that he wants to see because he knows that I can finish it quickly and tell him if I think it will be good or not.

We also buy my kids a lot of books and they enjoy being read to and my oldest is having fun learning how to read himself. I love all kinds of books however my favorite are horror, sci-fi and books based on movies.

Veronica Mars Cancelled - Sad Sad News

The CW network just revealed the fall lineup and Veronica Mars wasn't a part of the schedule. So I looked online and found a Yahoo! TV article confirming that it had been cancelled. This was a wonderful show for 3 season and I believe that it could have went on longer. Hopefully Kristen Bell and creator Rob Thomas will be back with a Veronica Mars spinoff. I would be excited to see anything else that they do.

My mothers day!

I enjoyed my mothers day with my boys. They got me a rose, a cake a picture frame and some other things. But by far my favorites were the cards that they made me. The boys took such care and are so sweet with the things they said in them I was really proud of them and was telling everyone at work about them.

And I also want to wish a late Happy Mothers Day to all of the moms out there.

Black Light Burns

Black Light Burns is Wes Borland's fomerly of Limp Bizkits new band. We are excited because we are going to go to Houston next month to see them. It will actually be Jason and my first concert together in the 7 years we have been together. They songs that I have heard on myspace are pretty good so far and we will be getting their album next month when it comes out before we go to the concert. I can't wait it is going to be so much fun, we are going to make a day of it and go eat at this chinese place in the mall we always shop at when we go down. And just try to have fun, just me and Jason.

Fun(Field) Day Was a Success

We all went to the school today for my oldest sons field day, we all had a goodtime. And both of the boys minded really well unlike yesterday (arghhh but thats a different post). Hal had fun watching Wes participate even though he was dying to get in on the fun. Wesley's class won quite a few of the events even the tug of war at the end of the day as well.

I did however notice all of the signs at the school announcing that there are only 9 days left of school. It just seems like this year has past by so fast. Even though we still have alot of years left it is just starting to feel like it is going to pass by in no time.

My todo list.....

I sat down and wrote a todo list last night and not one thing off of it has gotten done today. I have just been running around crazy and not getting anything done. Well I did go with my mother in law to take cupcakes to my sons class for his "birthday." And the reason we did is because his birthday is in July and all of the other kids parents have done something for them so we did it for him this month so he could have it at school.

Hopefully I will be able to get some of the list done tommorow. Even though I will be busy tommorow with ny kindergartners field day and at the school most of the day. Oh well it will be fun and I will get tons of pics from it. So hopefully tommorow night I will be able to report that my todo list is done!!!

America's Next Top Model Cycle 8 Finale!!

Woohoo....I'm kind of excited. This is my first cycle to watch and I am definately hooked on the show. I was glad that Dionne got sent home this last week because she was just too ghetto seeming. Even though I almost wish that Renee, Jaslene and Dionne's plan to get rid of Natasha had almost worked. Only because maybe it would have been easier for Renee to win.

And now I will admit it I am rooting for Renee! Out of the three left I think she has the most potential. Jaslene I don't think can do it. And I have to agree with the others that Natasha is just weird.

Oh well let's see what happens next week! I just hope I am not disappointed like I was with the Search for the Next Pussycat Doll winner.

I will confess I am a huge geek!

I looked at my Netflix queue and was excited to see that I won't be getting not 1 but 4 discs of the second season of Star Trek Enterprise today. Woohoo, my husband and I have become so addicted to the show. I don't understand why it didn't do well when it was on t.v. it is awesome. We didn't get to watch it at the time because UPN wasn't offered by our cable provider in this area.

I have to say that so far I have thouroughly enjoyed the storylines and the growth of the characters as the explore. It makes me hope that one day we will have a ship out in space like that exploring.

Paris should really start paying attention

I don't understand why Paris Hilton will not just suck it up and serve her time. She was obviously in the wrong and I for one believe that she should have to serve her time just like any other person who violates such laws. Honestly I think that when people get busted the first time for DUI they should have to serve some time maybe it would help more learn their lesson. These kinds of cases shouldn't be taken lightly and she is lucky that when she made her "mortal error" that someone didn't get hurt or even killed. I guess this brings a new meaning to the term simple life huh?

Here is a link to the Yahoo News Story

Oh yeah I was about to hit publish, when I realized my title was kind of off topic. In the article it says that she didn't know the terms of her probation. And I am making a jab at the fact that maybe she needs to start reading the fine print.

Wes and Hal's New Friends

Yesterday we spotted 3 little puppies walking down the road. And we just couldn't let them do that, we didn't want them to get ran over. So we got them into the yard and fed them and the boys had so much fun playing with them. That the owners came around and said that they didn't want them. So much to my surprise Jason asked me if we could keep them! We have never owned a dog before so I am excited about. They are sweet little puppies that are fun and cute! We have named them Porthos (the little boy) and the two girls Rinoa and Aerith. Here are some pics of them.

I really, really dislike the Horde!

On the weekends I play World of Warcraft with my husband, which I really enjoy. However when we are trying to go somewhere to level up and some 13 year old Horde snot head keeps coming up and killing us it just takes the fun out of it. I don't know if they are really only 13 but geez. I am not bothering them I am just trying to get to the Scarlet Monastery to level up in the instance. But they keep camping out near the entrance and pick us off because we are levels 31(me) and 37(my husband) and they are around level 60+, so we are no match for them. It does make me however really want to level up so that I can start going to their areas and start picking them off like they do us. No I understand that it is a vicious circle that started off somewhere with someone on either the Horde or the Alliance picking off lower levels of the opposite faction and then when they leveled up they started doing it and so on and so on. Ah well it is just part of the game experience.

The family and I went to see it this afternoon. I really enjoyed it, and thought it was as good as the first two. Because let's face it sequels aren't always the best unless it is Star Wars or the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But I think they did a good job with it. I also think that Topher Grace did an excellent job as Venom and Eddie Brock. Both of the boys enjoyed it. However my husband the comic book afficendo that he thought it was ok. He is too stuck on how things happened or are in the comic books, so he doesn't like any wavering away from those stories.

Getting more organized!

I have been thinking about it alot lately and my newest mission is going to be to become more organized and lose some weight. I am talking about my kitchen, bedroom, closed, garage(help my hubby set up his music stuff in it.), my computer room and hubbies comic room(same room). I gotta do this because it is getting bad around here, the house doesn't look bad but it just seems like everything piles up. Yesterday my mother in law and I did an overhaul of my boys room, and boy did it need it. Next she will come over and tackle their closet. But besides that I gotta get this place in shape!

And about losing weight, I wish someone could give me a good suggestion on a dietary supplement to use. I just do not have the willpower to curb my appetite without some sort of help. And its not that bad because I only need to lose 20-30 lbs and I would be very happy. Any ideas would be welcome on either a weight supplement or organization.
