Wes' Awesome New Shoes

Today it was time for Wes to get a new pair of shoes so we went around town searching for just the right pair. So we finally found this really cool pair of shoes that are black slip-on Airwalk's with Skulls on them. Wes, daddy and I thought they were just cool so we got them. I think they look a lot better than his last pair of shoes that were bought in an emergency situation.

Here they are:

Wore out...

It has been a long long week. I have worked all week and ran around like crazy, because my kids were going to Vacation Bible School, which I decided to help with the craft portion of it. And don't get me started with that because I am not religious at all and I am totally at odds with being there myself and allowing my kids to go. But my in laws have been taking them to church with them and they wanted to take them so my husband and I reluctantly agreed. So I decided to go and watch things and see how things worked, and most of all to see how Hal behaves around other kids.

So now I will be back to my regularly scheduled blogging! :)

This week at work....

I know that I mostly complain about my job and how much I dislike it but I really enjoy the amount of money that I can earn at it. This week was no exception for making money and I just simply enjoy the thrill of making good money at a job that I am good at. Hopefully this will be the start of a new trend of things going well for me at work, I hope it continues for my mental state and my pocket book.

Why do people feel the need?

To spread drama and to be try and stir things up? At work this week someone that I work with came to me and said that one of the supervisors was wanting to talk to me about something that had been going on up at work, something that has been a huge hot issue in the past month or so. After he told me this I realized that the manager was just trying to stir stuff up because I have been doing my job and not doing anything having to do with the issue that has ran rampant at work in the past. So me having this odd resistance to let stuff go until it has been settle went to the supervisors supervisor (the boss of all of us) and just asked her about it. To which she reassured me that I had been doing my job and that everything with me was good. But still in my mind it is frustrating that someone feels the need to say stuff about you when you aren't doing anything and they are the ones doing stuff. Oh well I am just going to do my job and let it all go.

#1 goofy Puppy in the world

We have had our little puppy Porthos for about two months now. He already acts like he is not just a puppy but that he his our third child, we even joke around sometimes with referring to him as the the third child, even though he is our puppy. It's funny that half of the time he makes these funny noises with his mouth that I have never heard another puppy or dog do, everytime we hear him do this we just laugh and he looks at us like we are crazy because he knows that we are laughing at him. Instead of calling him my puppy I will just keep referring to him as my third chid who even though a puppy loves to eat gummi bears.

So thankful

There was a time when my husband and myself were considering getting a divorce. Right now I am so thankfull that we didn't go through with the divorce and worked evedrything out. I love my husband very much and I knew that it wouldn't be the right thing for us or our family. And now we have moved past that point in our lives and are better and stronger than ever. I understand that for some people divorce is the best thing for them and their situations but I am grateful everyday that we didn't get one.

Father's Day

This last weekend was Father's day and I had no real gift idea's on what to get my husband. Thankfully the kids has alot of great gift idea's for him and found him some neat little items for father's day that he would love. The best things that they gave him were the handmade father's day cards and pictures frames that they made him at their grandma's house for father's day. My husband loved the gifts and had an awesome father's day as he celebrated with myself, Wes and Hal.

Stressing about every little thing....

I find myself more often than not doing this. When all I want to be is free of stress and just to live a comfortable life without all of the worries that I have. I feel like my main motivator for doing all that I do online is that so that I can have some semblance of this kind of life, because I want to be able to do for my kids and I want to be there for them no matter what and to be able to provide for them everything they need and sometimes not just the necessities. I want to be there for them in a way that my parents never were for me. And I ramble on like this with knots in my stomach because yet again here I am stressing about money, about what am I going to do about this week before payday. Okay I have to wrap this up I am even starting to sound whiney to myself, so ignore my little vent, I just needed to get it out.

Black Light Burns Concert

My husband and I went last Wednesday to the Black Light Burns concert in Houston at Scoutbar. Well all I have to say is that it was completely awesome. Wes Borland rocked the show and the whole band put on an incredible performance. I had always liked Wes Borland's music before but now I will be a die hard fan forever, and I totally see why Jason insisted we name our first born son Wesley (who of course we call Wes) after Wes Borland.

Here are a couple of videos of the concert that we uploaded to you tube:

Long, long week

We have been so busy this week that it hasn't even been funny. I worked everyday up until Tuesday and then Wednesday we were gone all day and didn't get home till 3 a.m. Thursday from the concert in Houston, which I still need to post about (which was totally awesome), and post pics. And since then I have been busy trying to get the house together and to work out the bugs on another project of mine, which will be unvieled as soon as I get it done and presentable. And to top it all of now I am completely exhausted!!!!

It's early and can't sleep.....

We are going to Houston today to go shop and then to a concert at a club, and I guess thats is the reason why I can't sleep. It is kind of dorky because I feel like a little kid when I used to get excited about things, and I was bad about stuff like that. When I was a kid I would get so excited about the first day of school that I would be dressed waiting at 3 or 4 in the morning when we didn't even get up till after 6. It is just the way I am and I know that it isn't even that early because during the school year we are always up by now for getting the kids up for school. But man its early for a whole family that when we don't have to do we don't wake up usually until well after 9, we love our sleep. Insomnia has just been hanging around with me lately, maybe I should have more done on my blogs then. Well atleast tommorow I will be sleeping good because there is no telling what time Jason and I will be home tonight.

This has been a really long week.....

I know I am late posting about this but I finally got around to taking a picture of the damage. Monday night I left a pot on the stove unattended and it caught my kitchen on fire. Thankfully it was a small fire and I was able to put it out myself. But you can't help but to think that what if it had been worse.

So here is a pic of the damage that I caused:

#1 Reason not to leave work early

If you do your husband may be out working on the yard and you may get roped into yard work. Well I can't blame him too much because his parents came over to help him and it was their idea to do it. But maybe that says something bad about our yard appearance or skills in our yard, because honestly we only mow when we are tired of working on it and we just aren't outside people like they are. But anyway I came home and they were out working and so I started helping mow and now my legs hurt, ugh. So the next time the thought crosses my mind to leave work early make sure it is when Jason is at work so nothing will be going on at the house and the kids and I can just sit around.

Wish me lots of luck

Yesterday I had an interview and an assessment at a local insurance agency for a sales rep job. It would be perfect for me because I enjoy the insurance industry and working with people, and I wouldn't have to travel for it at all, just work in a local office. So please send good thoughts that I get this job and that I did well on the assesment. This job would be perfect for my families situation and I would be able to be home with my boys in the evenings where as the job that I am at right now will not allow me to switch my schedule to be home with them in the eveings. So please send vibes that I will get a phone call.

Electricity ughhh

Why does electriciy havce to be so monopolized, our electricity went out today for 6 hours and everytime I called they couldn't give an estimation. Is it a good night when....

you and your husband stay up till 5:00 in the morning together watching T.V? I like to think so but boy am I tired. We watched a few episodes of Star Trek Enterprise Season 3 on dvd, yep we are slightly dorky, and after that we watched My Super Ex-Girlfriend on dvd as well, it wasn't that bad. I kind of expected it to be more funny but it just wasn't, I have been dissapointed with alot of movies like that lately. I just expect them to be really funny, but all of the funny parts are in the previews and they just don't seem as funny as advertised. Epic Movie is another that comes to mind that we watched lately and it just wasn't that funny, and I usually really enjoy really funny and vulgar-ish movies. Ah hopefully Knocked Up will be funny hopefully we will get to go see it soon.

Searching for a new job....

I have decided that my current job isn't of any real benefit to me or my sanity any longer. I once really enjoyed what I do, but that has sense changed. I dread to get up and go to this place. I worry about what new thing can happen to where my pay will get chopped in half or what new compensation plan will they come up with that is more to the companies benefit than the peoples that they have doing the actual work. I feel like there are people in management there that don't give a darn for the employees as people and that there are other managers who have no backbone and say that they are for the Team Members but fail to stand up for them to other members of management.

So as of yesterday I have been doing searches online at the job sites and the local newspapers and newstations sites to check out what is in the area. There isn't much her but there are a few that I think I would be good at so I have applied for them because I do have expierence in the types of business that they represent. One is for an insurance company that needs people to be benefits coordinators and work with local businesses. This is something that I think I can do and I already have a state insurance license in the field that is covered by this company. Just the fact that I can take that test and pass it should show them that I have some sort of brain. The other job is with a wireless company which I also have experience with since it involves sales and that is something that it seems like I have been doing forever and cell phones which I have sold over the phone before at an incarnation of the current company that I work for. So wish me luck, I am really hoping that the cell phone company will call me back. I know that I can do the insurance thing it is just the travel that I worry about with that one/
