Yumm Pot Roast!

Because of the fact that our stove has been defunct and not workig for the last month meals here have consisted of whatever I could microwave or cook on the breakfast grill thing (I don't know the propername for it). So as I was walking through the grocery store it dawned on me that wow I have a crock-pot so why don't I use it? Well then I bought all of the stuff to make it and I just got it on to cook, the family will finally have it first real meal in about a month! Just hope it turns out good!

Whats going to work?

TEAMWORK!!! ok and now I scream. As much as I love my 4 year old son and want him to watch show that he finds entertaining, as an adult I am confused about how they find such shows enjoyable. He is currently watching 'Wonder Pets' and that show is out there, with the off key songs and stuff. Oh well they are kinda cute anyway and Hal does enjoy it alot so I guess I can continue to put the dvd. And before anyone thinks that I use the TV as a babysitter, just know that this kids attention span is nada and he watches for like 5 mins and is then playing and comes back and forth to it. So the TV could never be used as a babysitter in this house. Wow I just came off as totally defensive there sorry about that!

Blood and Chocolate

I just watched this movie on dvd about a loup-garou (also known as a werewolf) and a human who fall in love. The movie is basically about them trying to get away from her family and the fact that she is supposed to be chosen by the leader of the pack to become his mate, she didn't want to be with him anyway. But that all changes when Vivan (the loup-garou) meets Aiden and everything sort of goes crazy for both of them trying to get away from her family, which thankfully of course they get away or it would not be a movie. I actually enjoyed this movie even though it was not as good as I thought that it would be. Oh well if you are bored one night it is worth a view so check it out.

Bills yuck!

I just realized that I had never posted before about bills. And I am just curious who else just cannot stand to pay bills? I just got finished getting this weeks bills out and boy do they drive me crazy! Ah well I guess you need them so that you can live day to day. I am thinking though that I should become more organized so that I can get everything done easier and with less hassle for me!

Happy Birthday Wes

Today is my oldest sons birthday, however we did have his party yesterday and he had such a fun time. He got lots of cool presents that he loved and his daddys Aunt Susan and her husband brought a jumpy blowup house thingy and they had such fun in it. I have lots of pictures and I will post some of them when I get them off of the camera tonight.

Harry Potter

I am so sitting here asking myself why I didn't get on the band wagon earlier. Well I will admit it now for you I should have. I have watched all of the movies that came out and not read any of the books even though I had wanted to, just never had the time. Well Jason and I made a really late run to Wal-Mart Friday night since the kids were at grandmas and on whim he asked me if I wanted it. I said sure and we picked it up. And I can't quit reading it. It is really good and I am really enjoying and now I know I am totally going backwards I am going to go back and get the others and read those now too.

Going cross-eyed here....

I am working on designing a theme for a site that I am working on and I am about to a little kooky looking at all of the code and stuff involved and styles and so on and so on. But I do realize that after I do get a couple of them under my belt that it will get much easier to work on, or I know I will just it make more and more complicated by trying to add different stuff lol. So please send me some good thoughts that I can come up with something cool and all that good stuff!

Mommy why do we have a belly button?

Just when I was afraid that I didn't have anything to write about today my almost 6 year old provides some inspiration. He came to me asking why he had one and that led all they way to babies coming from mommies tummies(hey the mommy and daddy thing isn't any of his business yet). But it made me giggle because when I was pregnant with his younger brother when he was about 16-18 months old, we would ask him where the baby was and he would lift up his shirt and show us his tummy telling us that was where the baby was. I just hope I didn't leave him confused because he is a smart kid and he seemed to understand what I said, and I told him that if he had anymore questions to ask and I will try to answer them for him and if I can't I will look them up for him.

Some People!

I don't know if it has been obvious from some of my blog entries but I work in a call center. Well I take inbound calls actually I do credit card applications for a pretty big banking institution. Well anyway I get a call today and I did the greeting "Thank you for calling ------ -----, My name is Sharon. I will be your application manager today. How are you doing today?
and Mr Pervert, yes he must be a perv says "Do you want to F#@$ me?"
So I just say "EXCUSE ME?" and he pretty much hangs up.

I just can't believe people still do stuff like that especially since there is caller id, and yes in call centers we can most of the time see exactly what number people are calling from. Next time something happens like that I am just going to start naming off their phone number. That will be funny and maybe shock them into not doing that anymore.

Please hold for the next available agent....

Don't you ever just want to scream whenever you hear those words? Well sometimes anyway, I am sitting on hold for the phone company right now waiting to inquire about their cellphone service, but I guess everyone else in the area is as well. Hopefully they will have the kind of service that I am looking for so that I can get a phone for both my husband and myself. One for him because he works so late and one for me because well I just want want want one. Wow I sound greedy but hey I could use one too I drive pretty far to the kids school and the school may need to get ahold of me when I am not at home about one of the boys.

So maybe someone will pick up sooooooon

Baby going to Pre-K!!!!!

I can hardly believe that his big enough for me to even consider sending to school, but he is and I registered him for Prekindergarten today. There are so many thoughts running through my head like is he going to do ok? or am I going to be called up a bunch, because he is kind of ewww well um stubborn. Ah, I think he will be okay and I even think that I will be ok with him going. And now he is just so excited about getting to go. So now both of my boys are going to be in school and my days off are going to be kind boring without them here. Well atleast I can get more blogging and stuff done!

I am feeling so cracked out...or something....

I have been awake pretty much all night. It has been a back and forth thing where I would lay down and my head would start to hurt and I would get back up and it would quit hurting. So my husband was up with me most of the time watching TV with me. Now I am working from home taking calls for West and am just feeling so irritated with these calls and questions that I am getting. I am probably going to have to call it day because this is not working, today anyway.

Lazy Rainy Day

Today has been a pretty good lazy day. This morning the kids left for a little while to go to the kids workshop at Lowes with Grandma and Grandpa and when they came back we had pancakes, eggs and all of the good breakfast stuff. Then the kids watched Wonderpets on DVD. After that Hal and I ran to get some stuff at the store and on the way home got everyone sundaes from the Mickey D's drive-thru. And then we have just sitting or lying around watching TV or playing WOW. This evening my husband and I however agreed and let the boys go to movie night at the church with Grandma and Grandpa and then they get to spend the night with them since they will go to church with them in the morning. Now its raining and Jason is knocked out and I myself am getting kind of drowsy, but feel like there is just too much online for me to do tonight.

I completed my goal for work this week

This morning I wrote about not liking Friday the 13th and thinking it was bad and stuff well maybe it isn't so bad. Because I went to work and achieved the goals that I had set for myself this week. Now let's just hope that I am also able to achieve my goals next week and so on that I can get some things done around.
My goals coming up are for Jason and I to buy him a car, a new stove and to start redoing the floors in our house. I hope we can get all of these things done it would be great if we can.

~Sharon

I am kind of nervous

I am not really a superstitious person but for some reason I have never really cared for Friday the 13th and what sparks this nervousness is the fact that I have a long day of work ahead where as I want to do really well at work today and I am being paranoid that it will ruin it for me. Well I guess I will just have to breathe and deal with it, it is just another day on the calendar, it will be ok.

When I get back home I will report how I did at work and we will see if my paranoia was for nothing or not.

It's 11:45 and they will not go to sleep!

I love my kids dearly, I truly do. But why in the world will they not just go to bed when I tell them that it is time to go to bed! Bedtime should have been a couple of hours ago and we have been back and forth with me telling them to go to bed and them getting right back up! It is getting frustrating that they will not listen. Most of the time they are really good kids but sometimes when they get like this they ignore my pleas for them to go to bed and keep playing and acting like I am not even there. What do I do? Are there any tips for someone in my situation that work on kids ages 4 and almost 6? And to top it off I am really tired and have a horrible headache that I can not get rid of.

Wish me luck, I am going to use the good old I'm calling daddy to come home from work trick, hopefully it will work.

Working at home

Tonight I am working from home for West for the first time in quite a while. I don't know why I haven't been doing it much because it is really fun and is just a bunch of reading to the people who call. And it also allows me to catch up on updating some of my sites as well.

Cruises from the United States to Europe?

I am trying to research whether or not they have these. Because my husband wants he and I to plan a trip to Europe but he does not want to fly he just does not want to fly at all, while myself on the other hand have never flown before and would love to get on an airplane and fly somewhere, I think it would be awesome. So if anyone who reads this has any input on the subject or knows anything about it or how I can convince my husband to get on an airplane please let me know, because I think it will be awesome for he and I to do something like this.
I also need to figure this out for prices and such so he and I can start a vacation savings.

Feeling Overwhelmed

It feels as if I have too many projects going on at one time. For example I have my regular job that I have been picking up extra hours at, also I work for West at home taking calls whenever I can, I do my blogging, run my sites and also sell for Avon. And I enjoy all of them they are all so much fun. But I definately have got to put a plan in plave to optimize my time so that I can get everything done. Hopefully I will be working a new work schedule soon that will allow me to do that so that I can make time for everything that I do. Which will be awesome because it also allows for more family time for us as well. Hopefully all of these feelings of being overwhelmed and not feeling like I can get anything done or do anything will go away.

I can't wait,

How does one catch up on sleep?

I have heard this phrase many times and I always wonder if it is possible at all to "catch up" on sleep. I wonder this because more and more lately I find myself increasingly tired and I just can't seem to get over it and not feel tired. I just assume that it is because of the weird hours that I keep and just hope one day that either the hours will change or my body will get used to it.

My sure fire way to get through work....

I don't know why I don't do this more often but it is definately going to be the everyday thing now, since I just got my own iPod and do not have to share mp3 players with Jason anymore. I just sit and listen to my music and tune everything else out and take my calls when they come and it works out great. I am not bored and only have to play spide solitaire as a last resort, while waiting. Now if only I can keep my singing to myself under control!

Long Day

I went to work this morning around nine and didn't get off today until around six. I am so tired but I have already lain down for an hour and can not even fall asleep. I hate when this happens, when I just want to get some good sleep but can't. But I need to get my sleep considering this is my weekend to work and I have to work tommorow as well.

Well besides being tired work today was not all that bad, I got all of my hours for the week and managed to make some pretty good comp, so my next check will be really good so I can't complain too much.

Good night I am going to try and sleep again,

My Shopping trip today!

Today I went shopping at Old Navy and scored some great deals towards some shirts for the boys school this year. I went by myself and the boys were pleasantly happy about the stuff I picked out. Which I was glad that they liked everything that I picked out. I got Wesley four different shirts and Hal three, so I still have quite a bit of shopping left, but it is a start.

Oh yeah and they do have some great sales going on at Old Navy this week.

~Sharon

Ugh I don't wanna go

I am supposed to be going in to work today to make up hours for the 4th of July that we missed and I just don't wanna!!!!! I just want to lay around and sleep which would just be really nice for me, yep I can be a very lazy perosn. No I take that back I am actually not very lazt, but I was just up really late last night with my husband trying to put the connecting ball thingy in for his lip piercing, which was a pain in the rear to deal with. Oh well I guess I better quit complaining and go to work. Well the highlight of the day is that I get to order my own Nintendo DS from my points at work and will not have to share with Jason anymore. And he won't want to touch mine anyway because I am going to order a pink one lol!

Supernatural Origins

I guess the them for this evening is the comic books that I have read lately. Another series I have been reading is Supernatural Origins it is the prequel to the TV series which I am addicted to whenever it comes on. Well anyway the comics cover John Winchester from the events that unfolded with Mary's death to the beginning of the TV series. Any fan of the TV show will enjoy reading this series and learning about what went on before the series especially if they are fans of the show.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8

No they are not making an 8th season for TV but Joss Whedon has been putting out a Season 8 comic book series. Which is already on its 4th issue and so far has been a pretty good read. But this should not be taken from me because I like anything Buffy the Vampire Slayer or just anything that Joss Whedon comes out with(even Firefly, it was awesome). Everyone should just go out and buy it themselves to check it out. Here is a description of the first issue from the Dark Horse Comics website(and yep I am writing about a comic book, my computer sits in a room with well over a 1000 of them!

Since the destruction of the Hellmouth, the Slayers--newly legion--have gotten organized and are kicking some serious undead butt. But not everything's fun and firearms, as an old enemy reappears and Dawn experiences some serious growing pains . . .

Buffy creator Joss Whedon brings Buffy back to Dark Horse in this direct follow-up to season seven of the smash-hit TV series.

Fireworks

Just got home from watching the fireworks at the Zoo, we decided to go at the last minute and we had a good time watching them. We even took Porthos and he had fun sitting in the back seat of car between the boys and watching the lights of the fireworks. Hal and Wes has loads of fun like they have every year since they were born.

~Sharon

Happy 4th of July everyone.

I hope that everyone has an enjoyable and safe 4th of July. We were going to watch fireworks at the local Zoo but it looks like it may rain so we may just be stuck at home this evening. Oh well Grandma and Grandpa brought the boys some watermelon this morning for the day and they watched the neighbors set off fireworks last night so it is not a complete loss for them.

Enjoy,
Sharon
