Rice crispy Treats

Is it sad that I am looking at pan on my dinner table and I all I can think about the pan is, I should go buy more marshmallows and rice crispy treats so that I can use that pan for making them. And I also cant help but to think that I will definitely be getting the Christmas marshmallows that I had bought for Hot Chocolate last week. I should so not be thinking about food I have been talking about going on a diet so this totally different than what I should be thinking. But of course when it comes to dieting or even attempting dieting I have zero amount of will power. Well I am thinking that all of that stuff will have to wait until after Christmas of course because I might as well hang it up right now. A friend and myself are planning on getting memberships at a gym and working out together after work everyday, so dieting is definitely in my future, but for the present it is Rice Crispy treats for me.

I must totally miss the humor in this

I really do not think that prank calls are in the least bit funny, they are annoying and a waste of time. I just got a call at my home job from a kid and he I read the little spill the whole "May I help you?" since there was no product associated. Well the smart ass child tells me "help, help billy is the well." I am just thinking oh great. Well I finally say the "May I help you?" and they say no, I say is there a product you were calling about, they say no I don't like you tone. Whatever kid my tone your a prank caller. Well I ask them one more time and they say no again so I say well I will get a supervisor and maybe they can help you, so the smart ass says ok. And I put them on mute and act as if I put them on hold to get someone and I guess they finally were scared of the idea of a supervisor and hung up. I kind of wish this one was like my at home job were most of the time their home phone number pop up and you can start reciting it back to them and that really freaks them out.

Please no more of these idiots.

New HDTV Flat Screen TVs

In the next few months we are planning on upgrading and purchasing a new bigger flat screen HDTV, and like most people we are doing most of our research online trying to figure out what brand and size we want or the features of all the different models. Our top two choices brand wise are a Sony or maybe a Phillips, out of all the ones I have looked at a sony 60 inch LCD sounds really nice and I think that our games systems and movies would look great on one. And to help with the search and locating a specific Krillion is here to help. The website gives a buyer product information and then tells them how much to get it for and where to get it. I did a search for my own town and a TV that I was interested in and it told me where I could find it at a local store how much they were selling it for. This is a very helpful service for buyers because personally like most shoppers looking for products of this kind I do my research online but would rather look at the product in the store before I buy.

Going back to school

A phone conversation my husband and myself just had earlier has led me to the conclusion that one of us has to go back to college and finish. There is no question about it one of just needs to, it is necessary I believe for our future. And I know as my mother in law always points out that it does not guarantee a job, maybe not but I feel like it does give someone an advantage over other applicants potentially who may not have a degree. He says that I should go back because I do already have some credits toward a degree plan, but I honestly do not feel as if I can handle going to school, working full time and taking care of our children. So I am either going to have to go to school and work part time. Or I can go to school and work full time for my at home job which would be easier because of the flexibility in shifts that I can have.
I just hope that we can figure this out so that it can work out in an advantageous way for us with our future and financially.

XBox 360 Repair

I wrote a few weeks ago about the red ring on our XBox 360 console. Well it took less than a week after we sent it to them for them to ship it back to us. The only reason why it took so long to get back to us was because of the Holiday and I can say that I am really impressed by the quality and speed of service of Microsoft in these matters. And I am mostly glad to have my XBox back so that I can watch dvds on it again. Silly reason but I just like it best for that just like my husband and son like it best for their games.

Planning a trip

My husband and I are planning a trip for our family for the middle of next year. We are looking for different options for our stay away from home. We are looking at Hotel Reservations and trying to find the best deal. HotelReservations.com has offers reservations for all different kinds of stays including hotels, motels, resorts and even vacations rentals. I just did a search for our destination and the rates were very competitive even though our destination was here in the states they also offer discounts on world wide destinations. I just did a search for London, England and very thrilled with the rates that came up, prices like that will make it even more likely that we will get to go on a trip there in the future.

Awesome DVD

My mother in law recently bought the boys some Christmas DVD's to watch now that Christmas is on us. She bought them the Wonder Pets Christmas and she also bought them two sets of shoes that were like the Christmas Television Specials from when Jason and I were kids or even I think from when she was a kid. They include "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," Frosty the Snowman" and my most favorite ever "Twas the Night Before Christmas." They have been great to watch, I am about as bad as the boys about wanting to watch them, they are getting us into the Christmas mood just like the Town Christmas Parade will tonight when we go. Which will be fun since it will be dark and the floats will be lighted.

Blogger Cards

Whenever I have something going that I am passionate about I tend to talk about it quite a bit. Right now one of those such things is my blog, I am always talking to my friends about it and they are always like, "what are you talking about?" And now that Ooprint has their "Business Card 2.0" I can get 100 FREE business cards from them and pass them around to everyone I know or meet to check out my blog without getting a confused look. All the blogger has to do is pay for the shipping and the cards are free and what is even more awesome is that they a cloud tag where key words can be placed that focus on your blog. I am off to order myself a set and get my blog outside of the digital world.

Yesterday at work was not too good

The quality of calls at work yesterday wasn't the best, I struggled throughout the day to get back my conversion rate which is applications to calls and it was hard a lot of people trying to get through to customer relations and not really liking that fact that we couldn't help them. Well around 3 or so I got my conversion back up and decided that it was time to go home. Well earlier I had called Jason to see if Pizza sounded good to him for dinner and we decided that I would stop and get some on the way home. Well I get to the pizza place get my pizza and low and behold I lock my keys in the car. I am forever notorious for this but it is just frustrating all the same, I always try to make sure I have them but sometimes it slips my mind. Well I am able to call and while I am waiting for him to get there with his keys the pizza gets cold, which really sucks. So when we finally get home we and the boys have to warm up our pizza before we can eat it. Oh well today was a lot better work wise, no big problems thankfully. I did get my requests off for the week of Christmas turned in so hopefully that works out ok.

Kind of Glad

Where I work we deal with a lot of sensitive information social security numbers, and even financial information. Well up until recently they had been higher high school kids for the late afternoon shift which from what I understand is disastrous from what I have heard from people who have worked. Well I am not trying to offend anyone but a supervisor told us earlier that they weren't going to hire anyone else for our area unless that at least had a GED or high school diploma. I am so relieved about this because I don't feel as if many of the ones that they have hired in the past have the maturity to deal with the job nor the respect for people or even other peoples belongings to handle the job. While I know that this doesn't apply to all teenagers or high school kids it just seems like we have gotten a lot of immature ones, who frankly need to learn some respect. So hopefully when they start to hire more people that the environment will be getting better and it will even be quite in the evenings for the people that have to work that shift.

Shopping Today or umm yesterday

If its one thing that has always held true is that all of the psychos come out to shop the day after Thanksgiving. It was crazy, I wasn't one of those people who go irate or angry because I have been on the other side and I know how it is to be the cashier having to deal with all of these people and how crazy it can be. I did however get a few deals that I was happy with. I got the Sims 2 Pets on Wii for only 14.99 which I will play like crazy because all of those games are so addictive. Also got some shirts and a new hoodie at Aeropostale for 70% off which is great because the items before any sale price were over $80 dollars and I got them for under 30 before tax. We also got Wesley a new Nintendo DS for Christmas and I know that he already has one but this one is a Special Zelda one with the Tri-Force and everything on it and really cool gold color it also came packaged with the New Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass which I know that he is going to die over, because for the longest time that is all he said he wanted for Christmas. I also got a great deal on a set of sheets for our bed and some Lincoln Logs for Hal for Christmas which I loved as a kid so we think he will love because he loves building stuff. I got some other stuff as well but it is all too much to name right now or I am just too tired to think of it.

Good Thanksgiving, Weirdos at night

We had an awesome Thanksgiving day, it was Jason, I our kids and the in-laws came over and we had dinner/ lunch, whichever you consider it. The pre-ccoked turkey that I ordered was really good and everyone said that they like the meal. We also went full blown family day and go the Christmas tree put up this afternoon and it just looks great. I am going to have to get some pictures of it posted so everyone can see, the only problem is that my 4 year old and the puppy will not leave the tree alone.

It is 3:10(yep in the morning) right now and I am working taking calls for my at home job, which isn't really bad because I am trying to make extra money for Christmas so I am trying to work as many extra hours as I can to make sure that we do everything that we would like to do. The job isn't bad and they always offer really great rates for working overnight during certain times or mostly the weekends. But the thing that is just messed up is why do weirdos always feel the need to call numbers that they see off of commercials? I have quite a few calls from what I swear are just freaking perverts who need to get a life. They ask stuff about what I am wearing or if I am a young girl. Ugh you dirty old men get a life because your just going to get hung up on. I can only assume that they are too cheap to call the numbers more fitting for the conversations that they are wishing to have.

Well the highlight of it all is that at least I will get to leave in less than an hour to go shopping!

Personalized Christmas Gifts

Some of the most fun and special gifts to give or receive for Christmas are items that are personalized. The Personalization Mall is the source for such beautiful and memorable gifts they offer all sorts of Personalized Gifts such as ornaments, stockings, picture frames, and even cups. They have a huge selection of products and most of all personalization is free, which makes it even better is that they offer high quality products and the personalization is accurate. And if orders are place before December 16 they are guaranteed to arrive before Christmas with rush fees. My favorite kinds of items are items like pictures frames like this one.

RealRank...

RealRank is the new ranking system launched by IZEA or Payperpost has launched to give more accurate figures of visitors or in other words traffic. Right now my RealRank is 1607 which I think is pretty good and I hope it doesn't go over that or goes lower. I really hope that this new system works out and does what IZEA is hoping that it will do. I look forward to seeing the numbers change and getting a more accurate count of the value of my blog.

Turducken? What in the world?

I saw this term on yahoo a little earlier and was thought it just sounded messed up, it sounded like either a German dish or a mix of Turkey, Duck, and Chicken. Well I looked and it is a dish of turkey, duck, and chicken combined. I like Turkey and Chicken, but I don't know if I would like them all combined. I looked at a recipe for it and it seems to have a lot of different steps to make Turducken.

Gallery of Giving

I think one of the most thoughtful gifts anyone could give is a greeting card personalized just for the recipient. And since I have a brother in law serving overseas I really think that this is a great thing that The Gallery Collection is doing, they have teamed up with Soldiers Angels, who provides aide and comfort to those serving in our Armed Forces as well as their families. What they have done is donate a card to be sent to every soldier that wishes them Happy Holidays as well as to tell them thanks. And this is a great thing considering that it is hard to find beautiful comforting and thoughtful greeting cards now days, it just seems like today that most of them are trying to be funny. The Gallery Collection has a very wide assortment of greeting cards to fit all of ones business needs, they even have Christmas Cards corporate and best of all they make them custom for your business.

Thanksgiving Plans

Jason and I well mostly Jason decided that we would stay at home and do our own dinner on Thanksgiving this year. We have in the past and I had a lot of fun cooking and learning how to make turkey the first couple of years. Well this year is different because our stove is not functional right now and I can't really cook turkey or even stuffing with it. Well I called around today and I ordered a pre-made turkey and a few sides to go with it. I hope it is really good, I am still going to make my own stuffing, I think I have figured out a way to do it without my big oven. And of course even with all of the sides I have to get the pies, because it just isn't Thanksgiving dinner without Pumpkin Pie.

Debt Management Referrals

Being in debt that it not manageable and out of control is a hard way to live and very very stressful on the people involved, I know I watched my parents go through that for years. The Credit Exchange is a service that that offers credit counseling and debt consolidation referral services. They are not a debt management company however they help with getting debt consolidation services and management with debts such as getting credit card relief or loans and maybe even medical bills. They off all forms of financial services financial analysis, debt counseling, and debt settlement through a network of companies who do debt consolidation and management. Going through these channels would be great for people instead of stopping to pay bills and being late constantly and just making the debt worse, because it is important to get these things under control especially for a persons own well being, I know from personal experience that when I feel like I am having a money problem that the stress I feel is just out of control and getting it taken care of is the most important thing for my family situation as well as nerves.

Stress and Tiredness

I had alot of fun Friday night when my friends came over, we had a blast drinking and playting witht the Wii. Then I slept till noon on Saturday and then when the kids came home we did alot of yardwork outside which we honestly haven't done in quite a while.

But those were great times but it doesn't stop the fact that I am just stressed and tired everyday. I can't help it especially with the holidays all coming and just bills on top of bills it is just hard for me to function. I just hope that i will all come together quickly and without too much trouble so that I can get past this.

Report Cards again

The boys came home with their second report cards for the year yesterday. And what can I say they actually did even better than they did on their last report cards. Wesley gain had all A's which we are uber proud of. His teacher even told us that she was sending home the paperwork for the Gifte and Talented Program for us to fill out. Which I hope he gets in, it will be a great learning opportunity for him. Hal also did really well he is doing well on the basic Pre-K stuff and even improved his conduct grade to a S which was a N the first six weeks. He just keeps getting better at school, we didn't even have any notes from the teacher about him this week.

Dropping an accent...

Since I am from the South we here of accents galore everybody has and luckily some of us can even hide ours, and then sometimes we are just around the so much that we can't even notice when someone has one. I personally however am not a huge fan of my accent when I let it loose and it is apparent that I have on usually try to hide it. However I am thinking accent reduction course Executive Language Training would be a really great way to learn how to promote yourself in a different way in the business world and give yourself a different image with English and foreign business language training. I have always heard about actors and actresses taking accent classes and I think that accent reduction training in the business world is a tool that would benefit businessmen and women.

Ugh Flat tire again...

This afternoon when Jason was heading out to go to work we looked at his car and all things it had a freaking flat tire. This has been like thousandth one in the last month, not really but it just seems like it. I just hope that his freaking rim on the car isn't bent again. I really don't want to have to break down and buy another one they are just too expensive on that car. I am too the theory though that he just needs to take it easy on his car, because he is just going to screw it up if he doesn't, we can't really afford for him to mess this one up.

Event Planners

One career choice that I always thought would be a blast to explore is being an event planner. However where I live I just do not believe there is that big of a market here for it in East Texas. However in San Francisco, California I am sure the market for it is surreal and a blast. Innovative Entertainment's event planners are the California event planning experts they offer planning for trade shows, entertainment production, coporate events, and even those special events that needs to be planned. In their area they are the premier event planning firm they have also planned events for many big name companies.

It just sucks you in

I can't help it I am addicted, to Wikipedia. It seems like everytime I get sucked into clicking on that eye because something caught my eye and I just got to see what it is about. Today I was looking at the local newspapers website and they were talking about the upcoming movie "Charlie Wilson's War" with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, I just wanted to know more about it because he was a local politician from here that was in Congress, I even remember even meeting him when I was a kid when he came to my elementary school. Well I decided to go to Wiki to see what it said about it and well I get sucked in and the next thing I know its two hours later and I am looking at a totally different subject. It is aggravating I should just block it from my computer, yep thats what I should do. Anyway it was a very interesting article that I did read about the movie and I definately think we will see it at some point after it comes out.

Sparring Gear

I have always been a fan of movies and T.V show where martial arts and sparring have been a big part of the show. With that I have been wanting to get lessons myself in both sparring and martial arts. And even if I don't get to take the lessons, my children are at least going to be place in martial arts classes of some kind in the next year. And to be able to perform both it is a good idea to have martial arts sparring gear. AWMA is a top retailer in sparring gear and carry high quality products, as well as a number of brands, sizes and colors. Their featured line is ProForce and I was actually impressed to see that they carry a pink chest guard, which of course I would just have to have if I were to start lessons.

Wii Party....This is going to be fun..

My friends from work are coming over tommorow night and we are going to have a "drunk Wii party". There is going to be about 6 or 7 of us girls here. We are going to drink certian types of beverages. I am really thinking that it is going to be a blast. And there will sure to be a lot of pictures from it and maybe even some video with my digital camera.

Small Business Loans

For the longest time my husband and myself have wanted to find a way to start our own business. We once aspired to by this old book shop in town and turn it into a comic store, but we never could figure out how to go about doing it and the process. One thing that I know we are going to need for these dreams is Small Business Loans, it will be the only for us to achieve this dream of ours someday. EZUnsecured.com has an easy process for applications with approvals in as little as 1 to 3 days and very fast funding in 1 to 3 weeks. They also pride themselves in having great service and specializing in helping small business owners get the funds they need for their businesses.

Family Traditions

Over the last few years or so this is a subject that has been on the back of my mind. I have tried to think of if there was anything that we ever did that would constitute being a "Tradition". Because of my broken ties with my own family it just seems awkward to do anything that I felt like was a tradition with them. I liken it to a divorced couple who used to take the same tripe every year but neither one of them can go to that place anymore. That is just how I feel about it. Now I feel like I am sort of getting sidetracked in a way but I am wanting to instill these kinds of things into my children so that we can have something that we do and that they will want to do with their kids every year and so on. I want it to be something nice and memorable but not something outright cheesy that you would see in a Hallmark movie.

To my readers what are some of your family traditions and how long have you guys carried them out?

Blog hosting

It is of my experience that most bloggers like to have their names out there with a individualized identity out on the web, take for example my own blog www.sharonblog.com, simple I know but it says who I am and what this site is for. So for a lot of bloggers good blog hosting is very important to go with the identity that they are creating. AQHost offers hosting solutions for bloggers looking for a blog host to host their blog or in some cases blogs.

They have two distinct plans that have a lot of different features they are the 'Blogger' plan and the 'Blogger Plus" plan, both plans have plenty of space for blogs and enough bandwidth or data transfer for even probloggers, the 'Blogger' plan would probably be the better choice for a starting blog for a blogger. They even offer Movable Type Hosting if that is your blogging platform of choice. They also offer free installation of Movable Type as well. However if that isn't the choice for a particular blogger there is also Wordpress Hosting. Which also comes with free installation, however there are several different plans for hosting Wordpress. From 'Starter' to 'Webmaster" to even 'Corporate' accounts. I personally really like working with Wordpress and think that it is easy to learn with and easy to use.

Work Thanksgiving Party

The Thanksgiving Lunch is tommorow and it is a potluck event. I think it will fun as long as we get to get off of the phone long enough to eat and there is good food :). Last year everytime we had a party I brought Potatoes Augratin a huge pan of it and it always got ate. However this year I can't bring the same thing because of my stove problems so I am loading up my Crock-Pot and making Little Smokies with Barbeque Sauce, it is simple and everyone loves it so is should be fine. A win win situation for all involved. Now just hope that it goes well and that everyone brings something and everyone will have somethng to eat.

Electronic Medical Records

VirMedice has a electronic health records software that I think should be the new way that doctors to keep track of patients records. It would provide greater access to their files in a more timely manner there would be no more going through file cabinets and shelves to find a record and it would also help to keep records being accidentally in the wrong place. The software also does a number of things for doctors such as automatically creating documents and letters, managing prescriptions and clinical images, provides patient education, and exchanges data with other systems within, and external to, your database. This software sounds like a neat deal and might even to help lower doctors costs which is good for the doctor and the patient meaning they may even be able to pass that on to the patient as well. It sounds like that way that doctors offices should go because it would lower the risk of patients files possibly getting mixed up.

Interesting quiz for 2008 Presidential Election

One of my friends placed this link in a bulletin on myspace. It doesn't take very long and it asks a few questions and tells you which candidate that has most of your views. I was honestly not surprised at all on the results that I got on the quiz.

Just to spill it I had a 54 with Clinton and Obama and a 47 with Edwards so I am not surprised at all, and shockingly a 45 with Giuliani.

I agreed and disagreed on my top two on the same things they are:
Agree
Iraq
Stem-Cell Research
Health Care
Abortion
Line-Item Veto
Energy
Marriage
Death Penalty

Disagree
Immigration
Taxes
Social

Here is the link take the quiz and share your results:

Poll of the Week #1

Every week I have decided to put up a different poll of the week based on things I have been thinking about and what I am thinking at the time.

This weeks questions is "Do you really enjoy what you do for a living?" I have chosen this topic this week because right now it is a sticky situation for me. Honestly I have an easy job, so easy that I whould just look past all of the childish people and the drama that is going on, on an almost daily basis. However my ultimate goal is to someday have my own full time business and work for myself so I was say right now that I am just blah with waht I am doing for a living.

Oh yes the poll is on the top of the left sidebar <-----

Can I have one of those HDTV like 50 in. T.V's?

Looking at the Luther's Sales Website I see several different things that I would love to get using their different financing options. The number one item that I want that we will definitely be getting within the next year is the "Sony" 50" Bravia 3LCD Micro Display HDTV, Full HD 1080p, we have looked at them in the stores and can't wait to get one to make our movies look better when we get the XBox 360 HD DVD player to go with it and even make our video games look awesome, which is very important for this gamer household. Besides the TV I would love the Toluca Lake Bedroom Collection by Stanley Furniture, the headboard on the bed is beautiful and would fit so well in my bedroom, I really love how tall the headboard looks as well.

Luther Sales' also has a LutherCharge program that gives a low monthly payment plan that also has a 25% member discount for orders paid in full within 90 days of delivery with no interest at all being charged. They specialize in military shopping and have Active Duty Military, Federal Civilian and Municipal Workers different payment options for these different kinds of shoppers. The options include of course LutherCharge, allotment, and electronic debit/ ACH.

Astrology?

We were at lunch yesterday and we were talking about some of the crazy stuff that has went on at the place. And the ignorance of one girl has just kind of stuck in my head. While I don't take astrology litterally by any means, I feel like it is all in fun, and not anything to get worked up about. Well the story was that this girl was in a training class and this girl was of a particular Christian denomination and the trainer had a newspaper out during a break and was reading everyone their horoscopes, well she tried to insist on reading this girls but the girl said "no". Well that should have been the end of it this girl quit over it saying that she couldn't work at a place that promotes "devil" stuff (something along those terms". That too me is just the most odd reason to quit a job, someone hits, or sexually harasses you sure quit your job, but someone wants to read your horoscope for fun, then get real that is no reason to quit a job. At least in my opinion but then again I am a laidback person who think horoscopes and astrology is all in fun and interesting.

Health Insurance Online

Right now I currently have insurance through my job and since I have a State Insurance License in Health, HMO, Accident, and Life Insurance, I like to see all about different kinds of insurance. In my opinion the best insurance is one that will help with and individuals personal needs and be affordable. And USA-HealthInsurance.com is an insurance broker in many states that offers individual, family, and group coverage. They offer free quotes on all different kinds of plans. They have agents for Blue Cross Blue Shield, United, Kaiser & Aetna agents for all states even affordable health insurance in Tennessee. And if you are on COBRA they have replacement coverage for that as well as individual health policies.

Someone's mad at me

Because I switched seats at work, and I am sorry but. There are alot of reasons why I did move:
1. Because she is trying to move before Christmas to Ok and I don't want to be stuck sitting there by myself and by someone else who I can stand so I moved down the row by another friend.
2. Where we had been sitting had just gotten too loud because there are more people around now and I can't concentrate on my calls there.
3. The other seat is quieter so it works for me better.

I just hope my friend doesn't stay mad and the new seat works out because I need the quiet and it just makes it better for me.

Between paydays?

Sometimes it just seems like the next payday is too a lifetime away especially when there are car repairs that have to be done or that bill that wasn't planned. A way to try and get the money that is needed is possibly to apply for Faxless Payday Loans, this website even features a payment calculator to tell how much the loan would actually cost. They can be deposited electronically into your bank account and repaid the same way, which makes it really convenient.

ANTM Cycle 9

I finally just was able to sit down and watch last weeks episode. I was kind of disappointed that Sarah was let go because she was losing weight and lost her "plus-size" figure. I am sorry but they could have let some worse ones go though for example Bianca and Ambreal, there is just something about them two that irks me, they are just too attitude or ghetto, I can not think of better more polite term. They do not look like models so please let them go soon before someone else who looks like a model gets let go.

I am still not sure who exactly I am rooting for right now.

Window Coverings

We have regular mini blinds on all of our windows in our house right and they all at least have some kind of curtain over them. Since we are working on everything in our house I am thinking that I would like to have some better blinds and window coverings to fit the over all theme that we are going for which honestly has no name at this point in time. In our living room for example we are going for a tan colored wall with white trim and our furnishings are going to be black wood or the couch we are looking at is black leather. And because of the amount of light that comes in from the sun in the from we really like a blind that doesn't let in much light if any at all. At JustBlinds.com the Roman shades look really nice if I were to get them I would probably go with the Kathryn Pearl or the Lattice Pale White since the trim in the room is white. JustBlinds.com has a lot of quality window coverings from the most basic styles to the latest in trends. Really neat stuff I could just go through and pick out something that I would like to have for nearly every room in my house.

how did the dog get applesausce on his back?

"I dropped it mommy" I think it is just so funny that whenever my 4 year old son and the dog is involved the dog always ends up with his food or something all over him. And always by some crazy accident it happens of course. Today Hal asked me if he could have some applesause which I said sure so Hal go the little container (individual kind) of applesauce. Well about 10 minutes later here comes the dog with applesausc on his back trying to lick it off. It must have happened in like 2 seconds because I could seee Hal and the dog and then it was on him.

Of course it was all an accident and Hal is sticking to that story....

Our Garage Floor

We have been trying to decide whether or not to finish off our garage to convert it into a room. Jason really wants to where as I am not sure where we will keep all of the stuff that we have in it if we do that. Nonetheless if we do either we are going to have to do something about the garage flooring. Right now it is just plain concrete that is filthy from the few times we have parked a car in it, we have swept it but it has just stained that quick. If we finish we will probably be doing carpet in it but if we don't it would be nice to get some floor tires on the floor because we won't be parking a car in it at all. Car Guy Garage offers tiles for garage floors in any pattern that someone could think of. And also if you have a floor that is a new garage floor you can get some professional grade epoxy that will protect as well as making it easy to clean, which we should have first done when we had our house built.

The Holiday Celebrations

Have already started. I have three Thanksgiving events to get stuff for and cook for. At work Wednesday we are having a potluck Lunch. For it I have decided to do something simple and make the Bar-B-Que Little Smokies in a crock pot, I usually do a big dish of Augratin Potatoes so I am going simple. And Wesley and Hal have Thanksgiving parties at school this week. I am not sure what Hal's class is doing yet. But Wesley is having a Thanksgiving breakfast at school and I have signed up to do French Toast Sticks and Homemade bisquits, which hopefully will be good. Wow and there will be even more celebrations next month to get ready for.

Saving money with coupons

When I shop anywhere I love to use coupons or sale to get what I am getting. I don't care if I have to use Coupon Codes or it is already on sale, I just like to get the best deal that I can get. And for example this holiday season I will be looking for Best Buy coupons or Target Coupons, because I like to shop at those places the most and they have what I am looking for. The NCNatural's site is easy to navigate making the deals easy to find and they update the site daily.

My Silly Son

My husband rented The Messengers today on dvd, we have both been talking about seeing this movie. We haven't watched it yet but according to the trailers they said something about small children being able to see stuff that we couldn't see. Well my younger son who is 4 would get this serious look on his face everytime the trailer would come one and sake his head really slowly yes. We thought it was so funny because he was telling us that it was true. We know he was planning around but the look he would get on his face everytime it would come on was just hilarious.

Getting a new car

I know many times I have talked about wanting to a new car and pretty soon I hope I can get one. And in order to get one I am going to have to get Auto Loans probably for both my husband and myself because he wants one if I get one. Autoloansmania.com is an online auto lender which is available nationwide so anyone in the country could get one and they also focus on helping people with poor credit which is good because we are working on improving our own personally. And need a lender that takes people with not so great credit.

Two days in a row

I have slept until nearly noon two days in a row and oh my do I love it. Too bad I can't do it everyday. Can't and work at the same time. And then somedays the kids wake me up early, well school days for example. The only drawback to it is for example tonight I won't want to go to sleep until late tonight but I have to get up and be at work at 8 in the morning.

But we had a good day today we went to the park with the kids and took the dog and kind of played around when we wasn't growling at Jason in the car. And then we took him went shopping, rented more movies, and washed the car(which was in dire need of a good washing).

It would be awesome if more days can be like this.

Blogger's Resource

Blogger's Resource is another blog that I am trying to get started about different blogging things. I am trying to get a blog link directory up and started. And right now I am trying to get people to sign up for blog reviews. All one has to do is leave a comment on the post on Blogger's Resource about the reviews and I will be writing a review once a day about a blog in the order that they leave comments. Check it out and if you have any suggestions I would love to have them and any feedback.

Training online

For one of my jobs I had to do the training exclusively online which was a different experience in itself. But I think training at home is neat and allows a person more flexible in when and how they do their training. Like me myself for example I listen to music while I try to learn stuff, for some reason it just helps. And Resource Bridge offers customized CBT and web based training. They provide elearning to companies of all sizes giving employees the chance to train and learn anywhere that they are. Web based training tools provides employees and companies an alternative way and I would almost think it would possibly help a company save money in paying a person to train a class of employees and for some people cutting the training time in half, I know for myself I have been in situations in training classes where myself and others would want to go ahead because we knew stuff but had to take more time for other people, where the company could have saved time and money on training us if we were able to go at our own pace.

Britney Miffed by Maxim List

I was reading this story earlier about her upset about being on Maxim's unsexiest list. Well I will admit to liking her new CD. But there isn't anything sexy about being a deadbeat mom. How could she even think that she wouldn't be on the "bad" list, after the year that she has had. Maybe if she can get her crap together she can redeem herself for a better list next year. But hey I think it is more than appearance that makes someone sexy and well all the crap she has done just makes her totally unsexy.

Baking for my family

I am honestly not much for cooking but I love to bake. I remember when I was in Jr. High we had to make a Christmas Dish for a party that we were having and I made PepperMint Candy Cane Cookies as the dish that I made. It was so good and I make it atleast once or twice a year since then.

The recipe for it is:
Ingredients:
1 cup margarine (softened)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 egg
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Red food coloring

Directions:

Mix margarine, sugar, milk, extracts and egg together until blended well. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt; then gradually add and mix well.

Split the dough in half, putting one-half in one bowl, and one-half in another bowl. Add to 1-bowl of dough: 1 teaspoon red food coloring. Cover and put both bowls of dough in the refrigerator for about 2-hours.

For each candy cane, use about 1-Tablespoon of dough from each bowl (the red dough and the white dough). Individually roll the piece of dough to form about a 4-inch long rope. Place 1 red and 1 white rope side by side, gentle press tips together, then twist the two pieces. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and curve top of cookie down to shape like a candy cane.

Bake in 375-degree oven for 9 to 12 minutes, until white dough just begins to turn golden. Remove from oven, and immediately sprinkle with granulated sugar.

Option #2: You can prepare a candy sprinkle to use by finely crushing 6 candy canes in a food processor, mix this with 1/2 cup of sugar. Sprinkle on cookies immediately after removal from oven.

I have used a regular mixer for year to make this and have been wanting and stand mixer since I have first saw them a Hamilton Beach® Mixer has been one that has appealed to me, because it is a brand that I am familiar with and they are just cool looking. They have alot of different neat attachments with the Eclectrics® Mixer that I have never noticed coming with other mixers that you see in the stores. I also like the fact that it comes in different colors so that one can be purchased to match you kitchen decorations or theme. This mixer would be good for my favorite cookie recipe because since it is cookie dough it is harder to mix and I wouldn't have to hold the bowl and the mixer the Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer would take care of that for me.

Spock's Mother Vulcan...ummm I don't think so....

I have been a Star Trek for as along as I remember, I even used to make sure I was on my best behavior when I was younger to make sure that I could stay up and watch TNG late on Saturday nights when I was a kid. I love all of the Star Trek series even "Enterprise," heck my husband and I named our dog Porthos, after Captain Archer's dog on that series.

Well I was reading on Yahoo news earlier about Winona Ryder signing on to play Spock's Vulcan mom in the upcoming Star Trek movie. It leaves me saying what the hell? Canon has always had Spock's mother a human and his father a Vulcan. That to me makes them seriously screwed up to change something like this. Because of the fact that Spock had a Human mother and Vulcan father made him who he was and added a lot to the character's personality and developmemt. I was actually getting excited for this movie but when they change important stuff like this it is annoying to no end.

Super Media Store

At our house we burn a lot of information and pictures and stuff on blank cds and dvds for us to store and save. And I am always on the lookout for deals on these items like bland dvds, cds, and cheap HP toner(because I print out lots of stuff too). So getting it on wholesale and cheap is right up my alley. Supermediastore.com is a major reseller and wholesaler of these kinds of items plus more in Southern California. They also have computer hardware, memory, dvd packaging and ink. Which are things that I shop for on a sometimes yearly if not monthly basis.

Battlestar Galatica

I know this show has been on a few season. But my husbad and I have just started watching it. It is actually really good and well addictive, we can't quit watching it. So far we have watched the first season in the last 3 days on dvd and just started the 2nd season last night and am now trying to find out when the third season comes out dvd. Pretty good show and it is just amazing how all of this stuff could happen to humanity.

Personal Loans

In the near future I am planning on applying for a personal loan in order to get some dental work done for myself and my husband and possibly a privacy fence for our backyard. One of the best things about Personal Loans is that they can be used for anything once your approved for one. Like for example if you get a loan to get a fence like we are planning to and the car breaks down and expensive repairs are needed the loan can be used to pay for that instead of the other. And sometimes even if you have no credit you can still qualify for one if you have a verifiable source of income and meet a few other basic requirements, which is great if you have been turned down in the past for having no credit, which has happened to my husband and myself in the past.

When it is good it is good

My husband and I have huge problems in the past. Problems where we had lawyers and were getting a divorcr. Luckily when it all came to it we decided to work things out and everything has been good. This makes me happy to no end when we had our problems in the past it was sad and nothing seemed like it would work. And now we have actially gotten things to where they are good. We have arguements here and there but nothing like we used to. And it has dawned on me what a great feeling it has been to be getting along with each other and have no big issues or problems.

Florida Vacations

I haven't been to Florida in years well okay since I was very young, but going back has always been something that I want to do. Well do the whole Disney thing and see some beautiful beaches. However I really think the best way to go to Florida is to go to the beach and to look at florida vacation rentals on the beach. And spend a couple of weeks on the beach but the best part of a rental though is it is like a house and not like a hotel where you are crowded with other people. And have the privacy to either soak it up in the sun with your family or party it up with friends, either one which would be awesome depending on whats going on in a vacationers life.

New Layout

I was getting tired of my old page template and I was beginning to think it was looking really cluttered. So I did some searching around and found this one. I am liking it right now because it is not looking cluttered, the only problem is that my profile picture is kind of warped looking. But I think I will be fixing that tommorow by putting another one up after I take one that is "cute" as Chrissy my friend told me to do. Well I need a new one anyway because I had cut off my hair and it is different now. But maybe I can stick with this one for a while, while I still try to figure out how to make my own.

NYC City Pass

This would be the coolest gift ever for a friend or family member who is going to NYC between December 15 to March 15. The New York CityPass is a booklet of tickets that allows visitors to save time by skipping most main entrance ticket lines. In the booklet they have tickets to places that I know, I myself have always wanted to visit. They are the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the new Greek and Roman galleries, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Guggenheim Museum and the American Museum of Natural History. Also they have a trip to the top of the Empire State Building Observatory and a tour of the Manhattan skyline from the water withe the Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise.

This kind of gift would just be a dream for someone or maybe even for oneself. And tickets bought this way save 50% off of the combined admission price for adults the price is only $65 where bought seperately it would be $130, for youths though the price would be $49 ages 12-17. The CityPass Winter Special is from December 15 to March 15 as I mention above so there is a whole 3 months to use the passes. This kind of deal appeals to me because you can do so much for so cheap. The two things that I would like to see the most is the MoMA and the American Museum of Natural History. They also offer convient overnight delivery options and gift wrapping with a personalized gift card for this wonderful gift.

Adventures in a call center.....

The girls and this one guy that I work with are convinced that the insanity and the stuff that we talk about at work would be good for a T.V. comedy or myself am thinking it will be good for my blog or maybe even a separate blog. The conversations we have are about our sex lives, even our men's parts (today it was are they circumcised or not), fake love affair triangles(which are just hilarious sometimes, because they are just funny), it gets crazy like when someone mutes there headset with an angry caller and pretends to curse at them freaking everyone out. It is a riot especially when you are there.

Retiring Early

Retiring early is a goal that most people share, everyone wants to be able to do it. And to do that you have to be smart about money and know how to invest it and where to invest it. A kind of investment is a hard money investment which provide a low risk on a high margin of return. An investor can get a 12% return rate on high yield first trust deeds and hard money lending systems, which I think is good for a low risk investment. These kind of investments are mainly ideal for IRA investments, retirement and even income.

Ready for my days off

Business Coaching

When you have your own business it is good to take opportunities to learn how to improve your own business to try and become even more successful, those things are always important. ActionCOACH is a business coaching franchise with people who are commited and successful in helping people become more successful move closer to becoming the person that they wish to be. They do this by using their "14 Points of Culture" to make sure everyone that they touch with their lives benefit in their success. It sounds like something that could help me personally with my lack of drive in getting stuff done in my life which is something that I have been stuggling with.

Should I go blonde or not?

My hair is currently a medium brown not too dark and not too light and it has quite a few natural highlights in it. But for some reason I can't stop thinking about the idea of dying it blonde. I want it like a medium blonde, not that white blonde color. And I want it natural looking, hmm I am not sure what to do. Because in the past I have dyed it blonde and it was already colored at the time and it was disastorous, there were parts of it that were yellow, white, orange and even black. I think I am going to gradually do it, dye it a light brown first and then after awhile lighten a little more. I am going to try that and see how that goes.

~sharon

One of my goals

Something that I have been wanting to do and have toyed with in the past is to open up my own store online. Though I am not even sure of what I would sell although premad scrapbooks or scrapbooking supplies have always been at the top of my idea list. My husband has wanted his comic shop for as long as I think he can remember with a brick and mortar and also an estore. However to do this a good ecommerce hosting provider is needed. AmeriCommerce's shopping cart software provides a user with everything they need for their storefront. They offer alot of neat features such as One Page Checkout,
Order Processing Management, Console Storefront Design, Product Catalog, Customer Management, and my favorite that I think is the neatest is that they offer Multiple Sorefronts.

Where in the world does my money go?

I was sitting at work today and wrote down every single bill that my husband and I and came to the conclusion that something is really screwed up. We bring home nearly three times what our monthly bills but yet it seems like we never have any money. So I guess I am gong to have to sit down and figure out where every dime goes, and keep track of it and seem if I can find some ways for us to start eliminating some unnecessary spending, maybe its our eating out sometimes, that would be great to get rid of because maybe I will lose some weight in the process.

I love handbags

There is almost nothing as good fashion wise as walking around with a beautiful handbag. I love to buy all different kinds bags, some of my favorites are usually messenger bags. But I always love designer leather handbags, they always make you look good. And now Bolanzo a brand of luxury designer handbags that has been available internationally. And because of their demand over seas they are now going to be available in the United States and the people here in the U.S will be able to benefit from their beautiful quality handbags and superior reputation they have gained internationally.

Oh my goodness

I have been reading some other blogs today and it just dawned on me how soon the holidays are actually coming. I have got to hurry up and get my shopping lists together, and Thanksgiving is only a little over two weeks away. Sheesh the boys even have school next week and then they are off for a week after that for the holiday.

And then Christmas is just around the corner and I can't help to giggle at my oldest son who informed 10 items ago that all he wanted was this one game for his Nintendo DS and now 10 items later we got to figure out we are actually getting him.

Alzheimer’s Foundation of America

For that perfect holiday gift for someone that you love it would be great to shop at the eStore for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. They have beautiful gifts such as their Heart's of Care Jewelry and all of the proceeds go to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Also featured are DVD Training Program for Family/Professional Caregivers of people with Alzheimer's which is really helpful to help a person care for someone that they love. I myself think that the Heart's of Care necklace is beautiful and would be the perfect give.

They also accepts gift donations to help support this great cause. It really shows someone that you care, I personally would be honored to have a donation placed in my name as a gift. While finding a cure for Alzheimer's is important it is just as important to make sure those people living with Alzheimer's have quality lives, especially since it is hard for them to care themselves because many of them can not actually remember how. And that is where the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America steps it is there mission to provide a better care, and services to people who have Alzheimer's, their caregivers and families. And to overall make sure that they have a better quality of life like everyone in this world deserves.

I have known people with Alzheimer's and have witnessed first hand how the suffer and it just feels so bad to see them not even remember the people that they love. And I just think that it is the least that we can do to make sure that their lives are better and to just hope that someday soon that their is a cure for this dreadful disease. So this holiday season we should all show our support and either make gift donation or shop at the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America's estore and support a worthy cause.

Movie memberships

We just signed up for an umlimited rental deal at Hollywood Video, and I think we have rented about 50 movies in the last two weeks. It is going to be even more when we turn Netflix back on. And since we don't have cable on right now it gives us something to do when the kids are in bed and we can rent them cartoons to watch as well. Last night I watched "Little Miss Sunshine" and all I have to say is that I loved and am definately planning on buying a copy of it. And tonight we watched "I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry" and I couldn't quit laughing, it was hilarious.

My Dream Vacation

In the next five years my husband and I want to go on an European vacation. It has been a dream mine for as long as I remember to travel all over the continent and see everything that I can see. Hopefully we can do this soon because Holiday Hypermarket one of the largest travel agencies in Europe is offering excellent holiday bargains, last minute trips and cheap flights, which I think is one of the most expensive parts of a trip. Even if we can't plan trip to see everything I at least want to see England and France and then see everything else as we can get to go over the years.

Why do companies do this?

A company that I know has this policy that if a person has a kind of error more than once that they will be removed off of the program. Well I don't understand why they have this policy because they haven't done anything about these things other than threaten. But to me I feel as if other people have a stake in making sure these errors do not occur because if they do then they could lose a program that they really like. So how come they will not move multiple offenders when they say that they will especially when it can affect other peoples jobs?

Ugh its frustrating.

I Want A New Car Bad

Right now I have a car that I really dislike and am thankful that it goes from A to Z. But right now I am hoping that I can get a new car at some point next year. The kind of car that I am really wanting is a Honda Civic Hybrid, because they are awesome looking and the gas mileage is a dream. And I have done the calculations and having a car note with the Hybrid will be almost as much as I spend on gas right now for my guzzler. So I have been searching the net for a Honda Car Quote so that I can find the best deal possible on one. And CarsBlvd.com is a site for people to get deals on new cars where a buyer can compare dealer quotes and dealers can compete for your business. They even help with finding a loan and the quotes are even at wholesale prices.

Cutest little snacks

Since my kids are only in 1st grade and Pre-K about once a month the parents are asked to bring a snack for the class for that days snack. Well I got the letter Friday that Wes's day was this Tuesday. I went to the store today to get something and was thinking of getting granola bars for them since they are kind of healthy and not sticky at all. And while I was looking at the granola bars I starting looking at the fruit snack and found LEGO fruit snacks shaped like little LEGO blocks. They are so cute and Wes said that his class would love them and is really excited about the.

Scary Situation

Back when I was a teenager a group of friends and myself had heard about this house that was supposedly haunted. Well we decided to go look for this house. The first night that we went out there we found the driveway and gate where it was supposed to be located. Well we go over the gate and into a wooded area beside an overgrown field. We walk down an old path and we don't see anything no house no anything. We walked up into the pasture for a good 30 or more minutes and never come across it.

Well a few days later we decide that we should go again and see if it we see it. This time we pull up to the gate and the first thing we saw was the house. We were like what in the world, how come we didn't see this thing the night before, it was huge. Well the house was obviously abandoned so we walk up to it and a few of us decide to go in. Well I am standing there close to a friend of mine when this freaking bat flies in between us. I had never been that close to a bat before that wasn't on the other side of a glass. Well there are several more bats so we decide to walk because we can't really go that far into the house because the floor is caved in, in front of revealing a basement. So we slowly get out of as to not stir up the bats. But after we get out the rest outside was asking us we had seen when we here a dog and shouting. Apparently there was a house behind and it there was someone coming, well we started to run and we did here a what we thought might have been a gunshot. Well two of the guys that were with us pratically ran so far ahead that they were about to leave us. That just showed us what kind of cowards they were. But for myself after that I got out of there as fast as I could sped away and never ever went back. I definately learned not to trespass anywhere ever gain especially if we here that a crazy lady killed a bunch of people there.

I know the situation was not near as bad as in The Mist by Stephen King or as threatening but had we not got out of there that quick it could have gotten that way.

Kind of a weirdness of mine

I was driving down the road recently and I nearly hit a squirrel as it ran it in the road, thankfully I didn't hit it. But it made me think of a couple of quirks that I have that for someone like me, I think is odd. First off I will state that I don't claim to be religious by any means. But for some reason when it comes to anything to do with the dead that I the utmost respect. First I can't bring myself to say anything bad about a person who is deceased, I just can't I feel extremely guilty at even the thought of it. Second if I visit a graveyard I will under no circumstances walk over a grave, I think that it is extremely disrespectful(I don't know why, I just do), and if I think that I may have accidentally I about have a panic attack and to myself send thoughts to please forgive me. And third if I am driving down the road and there is a dead animal I will drive around it and not go over it, again for some reason in my mind I think it is disrespectful to the creature. These are just a few things that I thought of and I am not sure where they came from or where I started these beliefs or maybe they are even superstitions of mine, maybe it comes from watching to many horror movies in my life, just not sure about it. It just kind of puzzles me to myself that I am so adamant about these things, maybe I will figure them out in time.

Catch and Release

I just watched this movie on DVD and had went months ago and watched it at the theater by myself (the first time I had ever done this). Well I really like the movie and decided to rent it tonight when I went to the video store. To me the beginning of the story is so sad when the main characters fiancee gets killed at his bachelor party trip right before the wedding and then to top it off she finds out that he had a kid behind her back where he had cheated on her with the mom of the kid. To me the theme of the story is so unimaginable and I would just be so hurt beyond belief if something like that were to happen to me. I have been personally cheated on in the past and I am assuming that is what it makes me feel so bad, because I barely made it out of that situation with my mind as well as life intact. I really liked the movie even though it did stir up the old feelings of being cheated on, and I was just glad that she had a happy ending in the end. I do suggest girls check it out because I think girls would just like it more.

Cosmetic Surgery

Having cosmetic surgery to some people is a big deal especially if they think that it is wrong. I myself have thought about having it done but don't think I will ever have the guts to do it and will only do it if it is a life and death situation or something along those lines. Though I have no problem at all with people having procedures done such as Liposuction if they are in a safe and clean office, with a doctor who takes great care in their work. In fact I know someone right now who is planning having this procedure done and is having it done for health purposes.

Sim City 3000

I went into Gamestop yesterday and I mentioned in a previous entry and reserved Sim City Societies on PC, well with the reserve you get a free copy of Sim City 3000. Well I installed it this afternoon and quit playing it. I swear the Sim games have some kind of addictive qualities because I can't quit and I just want to make it better and better. Well my husband pried me away from it this afternoon and talked me into renting The Sims 2 Castaways on Wii. Ugh I can't figure out which one I want to play more. Castaways is fun though and different because you have to do a bunch of different tasks to survive on the island and get off. It reminds of the other Sims console games that came out even though the names are eluding me right at this moment.

I will add though that if you have a Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, or PSP check out Castaway if you even remotely like the Sims games. I will be getting this one but I have to get My Sims first I think.

Graphic Designer or Writer?

I am a freelancer of sorts here on my blog. And my goal is to possibly be one full time with Graphic Design or Writing because they are both things that I really enjoy. And I am planning on going back to school for Graphic Design I hope in the very near future. And I can't wait to be able to use the Marketplace for these skills when I have developed them more, there are opportunities or jobs for Writers, graphic designers, programmers and more.

Very nice outing today

My husband and I spent the day together kid free this afternoon. We started off going to IHOP and eating lunch which we hadn't been there in ages. After that we went to the music store to look at a guitar for Wes, they should have the one we want in before Christmas. And we went to the local mall and walked around a bit and stopped into game stop where they had a free Sim City 3000 for PC for reserving Sim City Societies which looks like it is going to be really fun, so we reserved it for me of course because he doesn't play the Sim games. After that we went to the theater and watched "30 Days of Night." It was a really good movie even though *spoiler alert* I was disappointed that Josh Hartnett's character died in the end, but at least he went down saving everyone that survived. And the rest of the evening we ate some Chinese food at home and sat around and watched another movie on DVD.

TechBargains.com

We buy a lot of different "tech" stuff at our house so getting the best deals that we can is very important to us. At TechBargains they provide Deal Alerts that fit a user's needs and even provide a weekly newsletter that consolidates the best deals of the week. I have one son who is interested in taking pictures so for him I am looking for a cheap digital camera, since he is six and need something for him to start out with. And for myself I am trying to find a laptop deal because I want more freedom of moving around the house with my computer. Well I just got spoiled with my old laptop and want one so that for example while the kids are outside playing in the backyard I can lounge with it on the porch and work on stuff.

And most of all they also offer rebates and coupons on products for users to find. Included is a product database with reviews and comparison so that the best product to fit a buyers needs and budget can be found, I like this because people who have previously bought a product can be more honest and tell you exactly what it does and how much they liked or disliked an item.

Yay! for Microsoft!

I posted a few days ago about our Xbox 360 having the three red light error or the "red ring of death." Well I called Microsoft finally this evening and after the nice young lady informed me that it was no longer under warranty she told that because of this specific error that the warranty was extended! Well they are sending us a box for shipping we don't even have to pay for shipping, which is awesome! So we are now thrilled that we will have an Xbox again soon. My son and husband are glad that they can play Halo 3 again and I am glad to be able to watch dvds on it again.

Storing Stuff

My mother in law doesn't love any organizing stuff as much as she loves a good storage container. She uses them like crazy and has requested on many occasions that I invest in some to store our holiday stuff and the kids old stuff that my husband and I would like to save. I will be showing her NeatContainers.com because they have a some really interesting containers that when you stack them they can be opened like drawers so that when you go through them to find an item that is needed, there is no need for stacking and unstacking to go through each container so they are really easy to use.

My husband would really like these because we store everything from electronics cables to keepsakes and he like his mom likes to keep everything neat and organized. This would be a great solution because it would allow me to find everything easier and with my new mission to decorate for every Holiday I will be able to store everything neatly and be able to find it when the time comes. And saving space in the process. The website also sales the containers in kits with the biggest set being 100 pieces at $159.99 which would have us organizing all day long with that set. There are also shoe kits and add on pieces that can be purchased. I like the shoe kit because I have a lot of shoes and will always be buying more, I could also buy a big kit and use that I have more space an excuse to get more shoes.

I think my dog got hit last night

My dog has this thing about chasing cars, and yes I know it is a recipe for disaster and he may get hit. We are trying to find a way to break him of it. Anyway last night this truck is speeding down the street and he goes to change it and he gets to it and comes back yelping. He isn't visibly hurt anywhere and he is moving around okay. so maybe it just scared him, I can only hope that it scared him enough not to do it anymore.

Photo Love

One hobby that I have stuck with for quite a few years now or have tried to stick with is Scrapbooking. Well hopefully I will get back into it soon, I have this huge want for it anyway. So to me photos are an important item to have, I take them every chance I get and love to put pictures everywhere. I have even made a purse out of pictures and scrapbook pages as well as framed pages for my husband for Father's Day. But wouldn't it be neat to have a Photo Pillow with your favorite picture of your little one or maybe even your spouse, well maybe if they take long trips and you miss them. The company that makes these is Fotobed.com and they even are 100% customizable(you can even put text on them) and they are the only company to make custom shower curtains. I think these are some neat items and having a photo pillowcase would be neat to have, I could even imagine having one for all the different Holidays with your favorite Christmas, Easter or even Halloween pictures.

Ugh Frustrated

My kids turned their room into a tornado this afternoon with all of their toys and books and everything just everywhere. I have asked them for a good 1hr to get it cleaned. I finally got out a garbage bag and informed them that if they didn't have it cleaned up in 10 minutes that I would be in there to throw everything away that I find on the floor. Well that tactic worked for a whole 5 minutes and then they were back to playing. So I walked in with the bag and started filling it with stuff that was on the floor, starting specifically with stuff that I know Hal would be really upset without and miss. Finally I get some results and the room is clean. But how do we get past this stuff and they either just keep it cleaned or they clean it up when I tell them to the first time. I understand that they are only 4 and 6 and I can't expect it to be an automatic thing with them to get it done or to even keep it done. I just wish it would be easier though. Maybe as they get older it will get easier.

Moving around

I have never lived anywhere other than here in Texas and I have actually only lived in two different towns that are only 10 minutes apart. And I know people who have lived all over the country and the idea of moving to another totally different part of the Country appeals to me. Maybe even somewhere where the accent is even different than my own, which honestly from what I am told isn't really much of an accent. Somewhere like New York would be an interesting place to live because of the fact that it is in the North East and I have always felt like that is the part of the Country that I should have been from. North Fork real estate properties in the New York area would be a place to start for such a move in the Manhattan to Montauk areas.

Proud Daddy Moment

My husband has loved music and played the Guitar since his early teens. He even loves it so much that he even talked me into naming our oldest son Wes after one of his favorite guitar players Wes Borland of Black Light Burns formerly of Limp Bizkit. Well Jason has been talking about our sons getting their first guitars and taking lessons and learning to play even before Wes was born.

Well Wes hasn't acted like he was all to interested in it until today when he told me that he wanted a guitar and wanted to learn how to play. So Jason is absolutely freaking thrilled and excited that he and Wes are going to get to go pick his first guitar sometime soon. Well actually they have to go find a red guitar because that is what Wes decided that he wanted. Well being married to a guitar player I have looked at tons and tons of guitars and I am kind of rooting that he will pick out a Mini Fender Stratocaster for kids, they are adorable, and of course they look good red.

Riding In Style

Hopefully sometime in the next few years I will get to go to New York, its a place I have wanted to go to for as long as I remember. And when I go I want to make sure that I have a reliable and safe way to get around. A limo service Manhattan would be great and hopefully in the budget, maybe we can get a limo if we decide to go out for a nice night for dinner and a show, which would be absolutely amazing to me and we can do a more casual ride for the tourist type stuff like visiting the Statue of Liberty or other famous landmarks.

These kids are staying up late tonight

Because of recent things that have happened with things needing to be replaced and the holidays coming up. I signed up to work from 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. for my second job or third job whichever it is. So I have decided that the boys can stay up late tonight so that they will sleep in tomorrow and I can get a little sleep. They will love it though, we can have popcorn and watch lots of cartoon movies and play until they fall asleep before I have to work anyway. I just hope that I can make it through the night because they are offering some excellent rates for the late night shifts right now. If your watching some late night infomercials and you decide to call and order you just might get me!

I need a path or maybe a plan

I feel like this is a common subject with me about wanting to do something and trying to figure out a way to do it. There are so many thoughts and ideas that run through my head that I just want to do or either at least attempt to accomplish. It just feels like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. I feel as if I have no direction and no steam to get me to where I want to be. Everyone must go through something like this at one point or another in their life. So much to do, so many plans but never enough time. I think I am going have to start a daily list and stick to it. I believe that after I do that I can also get myself more fiscally responsible with money in order to get things done with that.

House Plans

Plans especially house plans have always been something I love to look at, when I was younger I would doodle them out and even played around with home design computer programs as I got older. Someday when my husband and I are older we will probably get plans and have another house built. And with my love of house plans I really love older homes especially Victorian era homes. Garant Homes Corporation is offering plans to potential homeowners who want a building your own home plan. My husband and I didn't have alot of input when we had our last home built but with something like this it sounds like there would be room for a whole lot of it. They offer plans for Victorian, Mediterranean and even Caribbean style homes, with all of the features of the 21st century, really neat stuff for potential home owners and builders.

Dog the Bounty Hunter

Yesterday I saw on Yahoo! the stuff about Duane "Dog" Chapman getting caught in racial slurs. Honestly I don't blame A&E for suspending his show for saying what he said. However in all fairness if he was saying it as a word as in "So and so said the "N" word," then I can't see anyone being angry at him for that. But if it was used in a derragotory way or as a racial slur then it is better for people to know what kind of person he is and not to support him by watching his show. Another issue in this however if that if this was a private phone conversation then how was it obtained and the fact that if it was a private conversation then his privacy was violated, which is also not fair. It is just a very sticky subject and I hope it all gets worked out for the good of everyone.

Flooring and Warranties

Since we are plannig on re-doing all of the floors in our house finding a great quality product, an awesome price and of course a very good warranty on the flooring is our priority in this endeavor. iFLOOR is intent on delivering these things they just recently issued a press release about their warranty because of frequent denials of claims for online buyers.

Press realease:
iFLOOR, America's largest online flooring retailer, today announced a $1,000,000 limited warranty designed to protect its customers from predatory manufacturer policies that exclude warranty coverage from online purchases.

The policy, which goes into effect immediately, offers up to one million dollars of coverage in the event that a customer's warranty claim is denied specifically because they made their purchase online. It is complimentary for every iFLOOR customer, and protects the buyer under the same terms as the original product warranty.

iFLOOR, Inc. CEO, Steve Simonson, came up with the program to combat "scare tactics" used by manufacturers of hardwood floors and laminate flooring. "Their idea is to discourage you from buying at a discount!" wrote Simonson in his blog "It's About Flooring". "This is not right! You deserve to save money! So we're going to take care of this problem once and for all."

And it would appear that federal law is on his side. Section 108 of the 1975 Magnuson-Moss Act, states that, "In general, tie-in sales provisions are not allowed. Such a provision would require a purchaser of the warranted product to buy an item or service from a particular company to use with the warranted product in order to be eligible to receive a remedy under the warranty."

Under iFLOOR's new warranty, a key provision allows for iFLOOR to "seek justice" on behalf of the customer in the event of legal action. According to Simonson, "I'm putting iFLOOR's money where my mouth is."

About iFLOOR, Inc.
Since 1998, iFLOOR.com has been the leading online and retail flooring company, with 36 local retail stores nationwide offering more than 70,000 products, including hardwood floors, laminate flooring, bamboo flooring and cork floors. iFLOOR.com is the largest online flooring retailer according to Internet Retailer Magazine, and was named by Inc. Halloween candy

Wow my kids made out like bandits yesterday on Halloween. However, I think we are going to be all candied out soon. We did have alot of fun, we started out after school going downtown in our city to the annual trick-or treating where local businesses hand out candy as a safe alternative to going door to door. One thing I noticed yesterday as well (I am assuming this is the first year they did it) was that the County Supervision Officers or in another parole and probation officers were walking the streets downtown with flyers with photos of sex offenders on them, watching out for them. I was really impressed with this and thought that it was great of them to do this for our children.

Well after we went downtown we went to the fall festival at my kids and in-laws church. Where they played games for candy, I helped with one of the booths and the kids alot of fun and won alot of candy. I will just have to remember not to get on one of the blow-up slides again, my knee still hurts.
