Pretty good Christmas

I was so busy that I forgot about posting before or during Christmas.  I am happy to say that our Christmas was a good one.  My children were especially pleased and of course were spoiled as they normally are.  They were really happy with their own Wii and TV in their bedroom.  I know most people would not do that for their kids because of “too much TV” and whatnot but I feel like this now I will have less fighting over the TV in the living and the Wii there, so I feel like I got myself my own TV time and saved myself a little less stress with boys fighting.  They are happy and I am happy but all in all it doesn’t mean anymore time it is just in a different. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and will have a Happy New Year if I don’t get around to posting more until then.

Trying to be patient

I am so glad that the kids are out on Christmas vacation now, the last two weeks that they have been in school have been exceptionally tiresome.  Hal has misbehaved several times enough for one day that he and some other Kindergartners threw wet paper towels all over the bathroom and made a huge mess, lets just say that I got a call from the principal that day.  Well this ended with me having a meeting with his teacher and the school counselor, where the conversation pretty much boils down to “Sharon you are a pushover and you need to be stern and strict with them.”  And I honestly am not sure how to be “stern” without coming off as a bitch or asshole, or someone that they will hate.  I do know that I will not let him get away with anything for now on and after some changes that will be coming around soon I am pretty sure that everything will be on track, like my title says pretty much I have to be patient.

Now I know I should not say such things but if Hal could get in trouble like Wesley does my sanity would be a whole lot better.  The last time the teacher reprimanded him was for reading a book while she was teaching, now that is something that reminds me of myself when I was in school.  I had the whole teacher you can stand up there and sound like the teacher from Charlie Brown and I will conveniently slouch down in my seat here and read.

And I think that if two children test my sanity I can only think of all the good drugs that woman who just had her 18th kid is on.  I can honestly say I think the Duggar’s are insane but then I remember the painkillers that they give you in the hospital and the prescriptions of them you get after birth.  Maybe she is addicted to them and just can’t quit, wouldn’t it be more simple just to fake a back injury or something to get them instead of procreating so much?  Now I sound a little crazy, oh well it is just a point of view of mine not matter how random it maybe.

He just doesn’t get it

Despite the fact that I work at home, I still have lots of communication with fellow co-workers.  I have told Jason this many times that when we work we have a chat room going and talk about work, life, kids or whatever comes to our crazy mostly women in the room minds.  Well I ran for Christmas cards the other day and he is like who are they for, and the people I work with, and then he just stops and goes “but you work at home”, “yeah I know but we talk just about everyday and its like working with people that I see,” in a way.  Oh well he just does not listen I have told him many times about our chat.

We even did a Secret Santa exchange which was really fun, cause we filled out a questionnaire and then got our person and their questionnaire to pick out a gift, brilliant idea of one of the ladies.  I got mine today and we will be going over them Monday with each other!

p.s. does this post seem soccer momish at all?

O’ Christmas Tree

It surely isn’t Christmas without a Christmas Tree.  We recently got our put up and decorated where we were happy with it.  This year I bought new ornaments and we decided to go with a silver and some clear ornament theme.  But of course I have the colored lights, I am just very adamant about having to have multi- colored lights on the tree.  So here is a pic of the wonderful in my oh so humble opinion tree.

In gift news and I will write about it because he knows that I was buying this, but Friday morning I ordered Jason’s iPod from Apple’s website so that I could have his name engraved on the back for him (which turned out nice), well anyway I ordered it Friday morning and they shipped it the same day and it arrived Monday, I was thoroughly please with this, such fast and efficient service.  And since he already knows about it I know I win with that gift!

Happy Holidays!

So not ready!

With a little less than two weeks left until Christmas, I can honestly say that I am not ready for it just as much as I am ready for it to be over with.  But I can honestly say that I am glad that my kids are excited about it, we have gotten them lots of gifts that I am sure they will enjoy.  Also bought hubby something that he has been dying for so will be glad to be giving that to him on Christmas.  Can’t name anything hear because well the oldest son and husband person I live with can both read unfortunately, lets just say they will all be very happy!
