I have been obsessed with the song ‘Teenage Dream’ by Katy Perry for a while now. It kind of reminds me of when life was simpler and I miss that. But if you have not heard it here is the video you can check out.

I am also thinking about starting a more focused mom blog and keeping this as a just about me and stuff I think is cool or like. I already have new domain, just don’t know how well it will go over.

I just can’t think of much random right now, I have not had much fun lately other than spend Saturday night by myself singing to Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour, I did contemplate on whether or not it was pathetic and decided that it would be pathetic if I had started drinking by myself. But it probably would have been fun.

It has been so frustrating lately that I can either stay up all night until I am dead tired or I have to resort to taking Tylenol PM to sleep. I wish I knew what to do, I am sure deep on the inside it is probably cause by stress and everything that I keep bottled up inside.

And it probably would not be so bad if I had the drive to get anything done. I guess the only good would be that has come out of it would be getting some movie watching done.

But to me it is getting beyond frustrating because there are so many things that I want to do but I just can’t bring myself to do them. Like site changes I want to make or get started are just a few of the examples.

If I want to be all psychological about it, it is probably rooted deep down in the fact that I have not had a regular job in a few weeks now and am not sure what the hell I am going to do.

But until then I would at least like to sleep and get things done around here.

Anyone have any sleep advice or stress relief advice?

But please don’t say tea, I just can’t go there. Sorry!

Not so wordless today. This is my smarty boy, he thinks that if he gets all of his homework done in the car that it will give him more time to play World of Warcraft when we get home. Though I do have to say he is right, if he has it all done and no chores he does get to play. And since he has always done so well in school I let him go for it.

Of how this year is going to be.

It is only the second day of school and we already have our first note!

And while I am a bit upset about it, I would be fooling myself if I didn’t expect it at some point this year.

But I am hoping it was just small stuff and maybe they were trying to point those things out early so they did not progress to bigger things throughout the year.

They were basically for blowing spit bubbles and talking. He is a seven year old boy so they tend to like spit and all.

But we had a long talk about it and I really hope that it sticks with him and he doesn’t have a year like he did last year.

It was a long one.

So send me some Hal be good thoughts, he and I can use them.

*He just has mischievous written all of his face don’t he?*

With two Elementary age kids we are always looking new and fun ways to keep them entertained. Some of the things that we like to do as a family is:

1. Make homemade take out favorites together, one of our favorite things to do is make homemade pizza.
2. Video games as a family, we often play RockBand together and even have our own preferred instruments and a band name, we like to call ourselves ‘Monkeys Throw Poo.’ I have sons, so what can I say.
3. We play board games together, though we are a very electronic centric family we still play games together that don’t require a game console or TV.
4. Family outings to the splash pad at the park or to the local zoo.
5. We also frequently play outside when it is not too hot where we live, which tends to makes us all play in the water as a family.

As a mom of two boys we are always having to find ways to entertain them, because they are always going and never stop. But at least I can say that I have fun while doing all of these things and I firmly believe that it keeps me young and makes me feel like a kid.

I have become addicted to another caffeinated beverage and I just can’t help myself on drinking it.

I am in love with Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino, and not even the fresh ones at the restaurant, I want the ones in the bottle you can buy. They taste better to me and hell they are cheaper.

I am also at a crossroads for myself, I just don’t know what to do with myself. As of two weeks ago I don’t have a regular job and I sort of feel lost. But the nice part is that I did get a couple of weeks with my kids off and now they are in school, honestly so glad for that.

I love them but was kind of ready for them to go back, they fight like cats and dogs.

But I am at such a lost as to what to do. I know I want to build my blog or blogs which is more accurate. And I know that I could do some awesome things with those and I would like to finish my degree.

I must do that!

But I have absolutely zero motivation right now, and I am not sure where to get it. I honestly don’t know if my old depression is kicking in full force or what but I just feel like doing a big fat pile of nothing.

So maybe I will figure that out.

I do like the whole getting to take and pick my kids up from school thing, it has been a long time since I have gotten to do that.

And I think the kids like it and I enjoy getting to talk to the right after school and everything.

Ah, maybe I will find my path and soon, it is starting to get frustrating.

I nearly think that our house revolves around our rechargeable batteries.  We have them in everything digital camera’s,  Xbox 360 controllers, Wii remotes, and even my Wii Fit balance board.

And there is only one brand that we trust in our devices and that would be Energizer, we have batteries by them that we love and use again and again. They are actually the only batteries that hold a charge in our digital cameras for recording videos at concerts and things that we go to.  If it were any other brand we usually have to change in the middle.

And so that we can get even more charging done I am thinking that I would love to try the Energizer Recharge Smart Charger. I think that it is so cool that it has a timer that tells how long until the batteries are charged. And I love that it charges 2 or 4 AA and AAA, since that is what 90% of our Energizer batteries are.  I really feel like the Smart Charger would be good for my family and work well for us.

When you have kids there are things that every kid should learn to help them throughout life.  While you try to teach kids these things they may not always stick with them but at least you try.

Five things that I hope my kids learn would be:

1. Be kind to others, it is so important especially this day and age when it feels like people and kids are losing site of this.
2. Get your education and finish college. While personally I am working on going back to school and finish getting my degree I regret not doing it years ago. I try to instill this in my kids and encourage them to do these things.
3. Live life to the fullest and have no regrets. This is so important and I think everyone should live by this so that they know they live the most fulfilled life the can.
4. Don’t talk to strangers is definitely something kids should not do.
5. Take care of your mind and body, don’t abuse yourself.

These are very simple things that I try to teach my children and hope that they take these values to heart.
