Can you say excited? I know I am and so glad that the wait for it is only until June. And then it kind of sucks because the wait for Breaking Dawn starts right after that. But until then I will be settle with New Moon out on DVD next weekend. And even though I already had New Moon reserved at Best Buy my kid reminded me of the date the other night.

I live in East Texas where it rarely ever snows, especially twice in a two week period. Sometimes we go years without there being any snowfall or sign of snow so it was kind of shocking that it snowed yet again this week. I mean the last time it snowed was a couple of years ago on Easter of all times of year. This place is usually known for almost being time for short sleeves and flip flops. I desperately miss my flip flops right now. But for now here are a couple of pictures from my boys playing in the snow last light.

And of course getting warm afterward with hot cocoa.

Going on vacation with kids is always a lot of work, its like occasionally not really a vacation. But its always best to relax and let go and find ways to have fun with your kids. When we go on a road trip we like to bring things to keep the boys happy so we have a great drive.

1. Travel games. A fun way to get everyone involved in the car and to see what is going on.
2. Coloring books, we always bring one that is close to a theme of what we are going to be doing.
3. Electronic devices while sometimes not ideal it is sometimes a life saver for a little quiet time while driving if you kid is playing their Nintendo DS.
4. Extra changes of cloths even if it is a day trip. I went to see my grandmother this weekend and it was 20 mins away and could have used extra clothes because my 6 year old thought mud would be fun.
5. Cash, I usually don’t ever carry any but in case there is a place that doesn’t take cards it is a good idea to have them.
6. Lots of water for the kids, I swear mine are always thirsty.
7. Lots of non-messy snacks like crackers or cookies. Because anything else would just be insane to clean up in the car on the road.
8. Wet Wipes for clean up, it always happens that you have a mess to clean up and it is best to be prepared.
9. Plan stops that are fun for everyone!
10. And don’t forget to take lots of pictures and video!

Today is my 30th birthday and is probably the birthday I have least looked forward to my entire life. I always under the belief that 30 is “like” old something. But now that it is here despite my sisters text messages at 1 a.m. telling me that I am old. I don’t really feel any older. So far it has been a pretty good day, we had cake and presents practically for breakfast. They boys even got me this really cute Cinderella cake, and cupcakes for themselves. We decided not to get a whole big huge cake because Hal’s birthday is the 12th and it has always been hard to eat two cakes back to back. So we are saving a huge cake for him next week.

I had a very disturbing image this afternoon as I was waiting today. Jason and I were around putting in some job applications for him since he is currently unemployed. So he decides he might give Big Lots a try since we shop there and he likes retail work. So I am waiting in the car while he runs in and gets an app to fill out. Well I am just minding my own business playing around with my cell when this car pulls up in a couple of lanes over. Ok perfectly normal for a parking lot. I glance up in their direction and have a complete holy shit moment. The guy has whipped it out and is taking a leak or relieving himself right their next to their car. What is so screwed up about it.

And so screwed up there is a woman with him who just stands there like it is perfectly normal. And did I mention he was a grown up! And he knew I could see him I think they both kept looking toward me. And yeah I probably should have called the police but that was hindsight and I just wanted to get the hell out of there. So relieved when they went in the store and Jason came out.

But I just don’t understand why he could not have waited until he got in the store. Big Lots does have a restroom, I know I have taken my kids there before.

In the past I would have never have admitted to such a thing but here lately I just can’t quit. I know most people won’t think it is much but I currently have a level 56 Mage, which is my favorite and a level 58 Death Knight that is pretty cool as well. With a recent update that have started an achievement system that I think is the key to why I have been playing so much. I think that is what I like to do the most is unlock the different achievements, and getting to level 80 would work for me as well. But for now I am playing around working on my characters, because for some reason I just can not call them toon on World of Warcraft like lot of people do. Maybe I will see you there.

Now that Christmas and the holidays are over most everyone’s pocket books are empty.  I know mine is very empty. And with my luck that is when something hits like the stove goes out or the refrigerator.  One year right after the holidays my stove caught on fire and I had to get a new one. So that is normally how it goes for me. But when I do shop for stuff whether it be an emergency I need or an I am ready for a new one I always look for the best deal out there.  When shopping for items it is best to compare shopping prices to get the most for your money.

There are several things I could use around the house.  On the top of my list is going to be a new refrigerator. The one I have makes this noise when the compressor or whatever goes off that if you are not used to it makes everyone jump.  And besides I recently got a new stove which I got by searching and searching for the best price on the kind I wanted and got a great deal on it, and would love a fridge to match it. And even if you are not looking for something high dollar like an appliance it is always best to get the best shopping deals, so that you spend your money wisely and can get more! Like I did on my new TV between Thanksgiving and Christmas which is now off sale and costs over $100 more than when I got it.
