Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes – Win A Free Weekend!

Hampton_logo

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hampton Hotels. All opinions are 100% mine.

I think it would be awesome to win a free weekend stay at Hampton Hotel.  If I were to win I know first off that since you can take 3 people with you that the first two people would be easy they would be my sister Donnell and my almost sister Christina.

They would be my absolute number one choices. After that I would probably twist my mom’s arm and make her go. Because as much as we three would need a weekend away, my mom would need it so much more than we ever could. And I know that she would have a lot of fun with us to go.  We would all need it to just get away and take a break from either work or maybe a mini-vacation without kids. Because honestly without little trips like that you could probably go a little crazy, I am sure I am almost there.

I can think of either three places that I would like to go. I would either choose Galveston, to go to the beach, New Orleans to frankly party. And my other choice would be Dallas so that we could go to Six Flags Over Texas, because I have not been in years and I am dying to ride a roller coaster.

It is easy to enter the Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes, just by filling out their simple form. And you can be entered to win their daily giveaway of a weekend stay at any Hampton Hotel.  They also have a grand prize of an entire hotel of 100 rooms for 2 nights.  Which would be awesome for like a family reunion or something along those lines. Definitely enter to win and hopefully you can win yourself and some friends a weekend away to relax!

Reboost with Boost Mobile

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine. For me trying to live without a cellphone would be insane, I just don’t think that I could do it.

Not in like a million years at all.

That being said I am always trying to find a deal and a phone that I like. Boost Mobile has their re-boost program that provides customers with flexible payment options that can make it easier than ever to have cellular services. With Boost customers are able to make easy payments online, over the phone or in person at many different locations. And to make it even more simple they have it to where you can also set up automatic payments, which is awesome because it takes the worrying about remembering to pay for your service. Or if you have a teen or a college student you can make gift payments for them as well.

Re-Boost, I think can help you Boost your cell phone service as well and make it easy for you to be social on Facebook or Twitter. They also offer Blackberry phones that actually help you with keeping track of your social networking. And plans tailored to Blackberries as well as the Motorola Il. To keep you up to date with all of the happenings you need to know about with their unlimited plan that even includes talk, text and web. I would definitely be checking this out.

What We Do For Family Time

With two Elementary age kids we are always looking new and fun ways to keep them entertained. Some of the things that we like to do as a family is:

  1. Make homemade take out favorites together, one of our favorite things to do is make homemade pizza.
  2. Video games as a family, we often play RockBand together and even have our own preferred instruments and a band name, we like to call ourselves ‘Monkeys Throw Poo.’ I have sons, so what can I say.
  3. We play board games together, though we are a very electronic centric family we still play games together that don’t require a game console or TV.
  4. Family outings to the splash pad at the park or to the local zoo.
  5. We also frequently play outside when it is not too hot where we live, which tends to makes us all play in the water as a family.

As a mom of two boys we are always having to find ways to entertain them, because they are always going and never stop. But at least I can say that I have fun while doing all of these things and I firmly believe that it keeps me young and makes me feel like a kid.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine. Parent’s Choice has recently redesigned their can. It also highlights some of the benefits of Bright Beginnings right on the can so those shopping will see how beneficial it is. Bright Beginnings available at diapers.com and if you do go directly to diapers.com all you have to do is search for Bright Beginnings and it takes you right to it.

Random Tuesday Thoughts – Stress Sucks

Yeah I have been mega stressed lately with just pretty much life in general. I really really dislike the feeling and wish that I could get past it and get on to I just don’t give a damn. Almost there, just not quite yet.

But other than that everything is pretty cool, we had fun with my son’s birthday this weekend. I am still plotting currently to steel is Nintendo DSi XL, when he is sleeping is seeming pretty optimal for this.

But I can’t really do that, he would so know that it was me. So I will just have to borrow while he sleeps and get mine for Christmas. I already made them swear they would get me one.

I have changed my blog up, but I don’t really think I am content with the header and stuff, so look for me to change that again. And my header widgets idea is not working the way I want, there was to many huge gaps, so either I need to get rid of those or just get rid of the idea.

But I am thinking I will get rid of it and go back to two sidebars. To do everything I want to do. We shall see.

I got to try some yummy chinese food last week for a surprise and I will be posting about that and the experience here today. It was really cool and it was my first blogger event. I was so nervous to go I thought I might have a panic attack.

Happy Random Tuesday!

What are YOU passionate about?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Haagen Dazs. All opinions are 100% mine. I have a passion for cooking because I love to try out new dishes and to cook new things for my family. It is about trying something new and having them love it and it is the best feeling in the world when my kids tell me that they love something new that I cooked that they have never had before.

My favorite dish to make for them that the kids just love is my meatloaf. I somewhat follow directions but substitute different items in the recipe to add my own twist to it. For example in the recipe it asks for me to use bread crumbs and milk but instead I use crumbled crackers and tomato sauce. Sometimes if I am in the mood I will even add garlic for extra flavor.

I would encourage you all to check out Passion Profiles.  Passion Profiles is a an online talk show that features some of Canada’s finest Chefs, Designers and Musicians and gives a unique look at them and their passions.

Passion Profiles is hosted by ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey and will also feature the Food Network TV stars Anna and Michael Olsen on the first episode of Passion Profiles on July 28, 2010.  It sounds like a neat and entertaining show so be sure to check it out when it is premieres!

Family Friendly Online College

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ashworth College. All opinions are 100% mine. At the front of all of my thoughts lately has been going back to college and finishing my degree. I can not really explain it but lately it has become so important to me that I will burst if I don’t go and finish.  And as a mom I think it is so important for me to do this and make a good example to my kids by finishing college and to also so them that I can be something else besides a mom for example a teacher like I plan to be. My plans may end up including getting an Online degree, because it is so family friendly and would make our lives easy since it would be self paced.

Ashworth College actually offers a lot of things that I am looking for in a school for example it is 50% less than other online schools, and offers interest free financing and payment plans so as a mom I would not have to take out any costly student loans. Which honestly not many parents could afford to take out student loans while they are trying to raise kids themselves so that would be a big plus sign to me. Check it out and like me you may be trying to go back to school soon!

It Is Like Shopping, But Swapping!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of SupaSwap Corporation. All opinions are 100% mine. Online shopping is a way of life now for just about everybody. Whether it be just price checking or buying the chosen item, we all do it. I know I do, all of the time.  And among the sites I frequent eBay is at the very top of the list. And while I do browse eBay and make purchases I am just not quite ready to let my kids loose on it.

I really think a whole lot of bad would happen if I did.

Logo-small

But now there is a new site called Supaswap it is kind of like eBay for parents and their children.  It is a really neat site that even has a swap feature so that you can swap items.

Of course parents have to sign up their children and there are very strict parental controls that parents can use. One thing that I am liking about the site is that SupaSwap does not have a monthly membership fee! You can’t beat that when you are selling items.

I also like that there are different zones on site for example there are zones for Parents, Teens, Kids, and of course the Swap Zone. Which is neat and makes it very user friendly.

Definitely check it out for your kids to have their own online shopping or swapping experience!

Going to try some Freschetta FlatBread

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Freschetta. All opinions are 100% mine. I am a pizza junkie, it is a well known fact amongst my people, or family and friends.  Truly if it were my choice alone we would probably have pizza almost everyday of the week. Though my family would want more a variety than what I choose for myself. While I have not tried Freschetta FlatBread, I have tried other pizza by Freschetta and really liked it, especially the regular pepperoni pizza. It is always a winner for me.

However looking at the variety of flavors for the Freschetta FlatBread , I think my top pick would of course be the pepperoni. But I think that I would also like to try the Zesty Italian. Though the Roasted Garlic may be yum because in our house we love garlic and flavor different foods with it.

And right now to when you visit Freschetta’s website you can get a $1.00 off coupon and that is for any of their pizza’s not just the Freschetta Flatbread. Though from looking at the pictures I am getting a craving for it and think that everyone should run out and try it.

And with my recent coupon addiction I will be printing myself a coupon for the Freschetta Flatbed and getting some to try out.

If you have tried out Freschetta Pizza or are going to try it out go ahead and leave a comment telling me what you think!
