Fitness goals

Since 2012 started one of my biggest themes of the year has been to get my body into shape and to make myself more healthy. And honestly in my mind I have hit these goals running. Well not literally running because truthfully I have never been much of a runner if it was anywhere but a soccer field. However my new outlook on fitness has got me into looking at all kinds of different fitness routines. Even running.

My main getting shape method so far has been aerobic type workouts like Zumba and that has done wonders for me and I love it and will probably do it for as long as I can. But I have looked at other fitness routines as well. For example I have looked at running even though I had never really enjoyed it before because I have a new-found obsession of running in a 5k and accomplishing it. We will just have to see how that works out. I really do think that the aerobic exercises has built up my endurance. So I do not think running will be as bad as I imagine it will be. I also think it would be fun to do other types of fitness programs like Mixed Martial Arts.

The conditioning that goes into an MMA workout is probably what I need to condition and tone my body even more to get it into the shape that I dream of. Yep I am dreaming big and have a bit to go. Just watch this exercise program video to get an idea of what I am talking about. I really think it would be a neat program for someone wanting to learn a fight conditioning workout.

Maybe I am dreaming big but like I said my goal for 2012 was to start transforming my body and to get more healthy and moving and that is just what I am going to do this year and going forward.

  2. How is it going? The MMA sounds fun. I am bad about saying I am going to do something like this, but it never happens. I am hoping to start soon though. I would love to hear your progress.
