One Pot Dr. Pepper Pork Chops – Recipe

I came across this recipe One Pot Dr. Pepper Pork Chops recipe literally on the front page of Yahoo. And since we are huge fans of Dr. Pepper I thought it looked yummy and would give it a try.  This recipe was a huge hit with my family and the kids loved it. And since I honestly am really only good at easy recipes this one was perfect for me to make.

The ingredients for this one are

4-6 pork chops

1 can Dr. Pepper

12 oz ketchup or chili sauce

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Place all ingredients in the crock pot (stir them of course), and cook on low for 6 hours or until the pork chops are cooked through. Remove the chops and whisk in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch (or flour) to thicken the sauce into a gravy. Serve over rice.

One thing that I liked about it was that the meat was really super tender and fell right off the bone. Since the recipe did not specify bone-in or boneless, I had bone-in handy and just used that for the Dr. Pepper Pork Chops.

I also of course served the Dr. Pepper Pork Chops with rice but we also had spinach, since it is my kids favorite and biscuits on the side.  Like I said One Pot Dr. Pepper Pork Chops was huge hit and my kids stuffed themselves on Pork Chops.

If you love Dr. Pepper and tender meat then this recipe is definitely a must try for your family. Since I originally wrote this post we have made the One Pot Dr. Pepper Pork Chops several more times and we love it every time. Other side dishes I think would be good on the side are mashed potatoes and possibly green beans.

I would definitely suggest trying this one and come back and leave me a comment if you do.

Thank you, very useful. I wasnt actually a big fan of Spinach for many years ( understatement, I hated the stuff), but after shacking up with a vegetarian I kind of had to get used to it, and have slowly come to love the stuff. Spinach curry is now my absolute favourite! I recently found adedicated spinach recipes website which is my new favourite site now, you should have a look!

This sounds very tasty. I’ve used cola in a marinade with chicken before, but I’ll bet Dr. Pepper would be good. It’s got that prune flavor going on!

  9. I love making ribs like this!

I have made slow cooker shredded pork using Dr. Pepper before, but never pork chops. Thanks for the idea!
