One of the most important things that I try to teach my children is good dental care. It is important to me that they take great care of their teeth and have great dental hygiene. Some of the things that I do to insure they do this is to brush their teeth as often as possible during the day (at least two times). I also schedule regular dental visits and was very proud at their last visit that they did not have any cavities. Though we do have to schedule a trip to the orthodontist in a couple of months to see if my oldest son will have to have braces.
In addition to those things I make sure that we regularly change out their toothbrushes and get them the best toothpaste and mouthwash that I can get for them. We also make sure that floss daily as well. I almost think I drive them crazy with the way that I make them do their daily dental care routines. Oh well I can’t help but to think of how great their teeth and smiles will be when they get older.
