It is that time of whatever the year? the month(no actually not)? the day? I dunno which but all I know is I can’t sleep and have like a hundred things going through my head and am watching lots and lots of Grey’s Anatomy on instant view on Netflix. I actually had never watched the show before a couple of weeks ago and am addicted. Incidentally, I also started watching CSI and can’t stop thinking about forensics science…

I am also working on my novel while I sit here and installing World of Warcraft on my laptop because I have had the computer a couple months and hadn’t installed it yet. Total and complete blasphemy I tell you, to not have Warcraft installed. Blizzard is pretty sweet though and sent me a week of free game time to come back.

This post is turning into a complete pile of randomness and before I get anymore random I think I will just leave you guys with this awesome quote a friend of mine posted on facebook:

Did you hear about the baby born with organs of both sexes? It had a penis and a brain. ~Author Unknown

It made me giggle but I don’t think too many guys found it funny.

Guest post of the week by Nestor Nielsen

My favorite TV show that is based on baking is “Paula’s Home Cooking”. Thanks to satellite TV that I got after coming across this directtv Offers information, I can watch this on The Food Network Channel.

Paula Deen is a beautiful lady with a great sense of humor! On the show, she shares recipes and ideas, while demonstrating the steps to create each dish or complete meal. The setting is a cozy, bright, country-style, kitchen with modern appliances. From the kitchen being cozy and comfortable to the food she prepares being “comfort food”, “Paula’s Home Cooking” is a perfect title for the show!

Paula’s personality is so bubbly, outgoing and humorous. When you add in her southern accent and charm, “Paula’s Home Cooking” is just delightful! Since Paula was raised in the South and lives in the South, her delicious home cooking and southern charm are naturals. One of Paula Deen’s restaurants, Lady and Sons, is located about 55 miles from where I live in the charming, southern town of Savannah, Ga.

As an example of Paula’s sense of humor, I recall a recent episode that aired close to Thanksgiving. One part of the episode showed Paula walking into a local sweet shop on River Street in Savannah, GA and sampling many different nuts and assorted candies. A hilarious comment she made was “You can’t take a fat girl into a candy store!”

Kind of an odd thing to say but I really think so. I am like a TV zombie with dvds and even sometimes video games. Here lately I just would rather sit in front of the TV than work on my blog, work on my other incomes, or just work, which all I do at home. Lately I have been sucked into watching the TV show Charmed, and not just some episodes on TV the whole series, I got the box set on dvd and just cannot quit watching. There are 8 season and over the last week I have watched 3 at least. That is nearly 72 hours of TV watching. And that is just that show not even counting catching up with Weeds on dvd (now that show is freaking funny). And yesterday I spent a few hours playing Rockband, though I don’t count that as much because it was a family thing.

I am not sure what to do, I need to get my enthusiasm for doing stuff again back up. I am not sure if it is past personal issues coming back up again. Because I don’t know if it is depression again or not, I never could really tell myself but those around me could always tell. It is something I will have to talk to my doctor about, but maybe I can work it out on my own and get it all under control. Just gotta get my will power back to stay away from the TV and stay in front of the computer to work. For now I am going to experiment with daily goals and lists and see if that will help until I can manage with the doctor.
