While I love Twitter and use it quite often hell you can even follow me at @sharonrose cause I am that awesome.
That aside I do think it was inappropriate for the Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff to post about giving the go ahead in the execution of Ronnie Lee Gardner. And sure we all heard about it and it was covered by the news I just can’t agree with a Government official “live tweeting” it.
Here is a screenshot of his tweet:
He had also followed with a second tweet that said: “We will be streaming live my press conference as soon as I’m told Gardner is dead. Watch it at (and a web address I don’t feel like linking to).
I do not know about the politics of Utah seeing as I live in Texas, but I can’t help but wonder if he may be up for reelection and trying to get himself some publicity. That is the only reasoning I can come up with.
An article I read said this one will probably go down in history as one of the most disgusting uses of Twitter ever, I think the most disgusting however was already won by the lady who live tweeted her abortion.
But in other thoughts since they say it is so expensive to have people go to the electric chair or lethal injection. I can’t help but to think that maybe the firing squad could save the tax payers money.
Maybe it would? I am just wondering, I am by no means an expert on such things.
