With two Elementary age kids we are always looking new and fun ways to keep them entertained. Some of the things that we like to do as a family is:
- Make homemade take out favorites together, one of our favorite things to do is make homemade pizza.
- Video games as a family, we often play RockBand together and even have our own preferred instruments and a band name, we like to call ourselves ‘Monkeys Throw Poo.’ I have sons, so what can I say.
- We play board games together, though we are a very electronic centric family we still play games together that don’t require a game console or TV.
- Family outings to the splash pad at the park or to the local zoo.
- We also frequently play outside when it is not too hot where we live, which tends to makes us all play in the water as a family.
As a mom of two boys we are always having to find ways to entertain them, because they are always going and never stop. But at least I can say that I have fun while doing all of these things and I firmly believe that it keeps me young and makes me feel like a kid.
